Another similar app that HAS reached California is Too Good To Go.
It's HEAVY in San Fran bay area. Pretty popular in Los Angeles are. And finally coming to my hometown area as well.

They are no longer allowed to throw food away. They must give it to the food banks.
They already give that food away to the food banks. Very little gets thrown out. They write all of it off on taxes. They want your personal information to sell it. Also they want you back in the store to purchase other items. Savemart and luckys are way over priced to start with. So what you will be paying for will probably be full price somewhere else. They lost all their business and are looking for creative ways to get more business to sell overpriced food. Nothing but a scam.
Instead of throwing it away, donate it to homeless shelters or food closets.
The most insulting thing that you can call a member of our society is Consumer. Is a consumer kind of like a non productive parasite that just sucks off of society without producing anything of value? That is how our government and business treats us. Like useless parasites that are only useful when we buy something and they make money off of us and hoping that we will work our asses off and die young enough not to collect Social security or Medicare that we paid into all of our working lives.

Great, so some of us who regularly use discount places like Grocery Outlet will end up with far less choices because this app will sell the items before they get discounted too much.
Ugh who shops at Luckys? Their food is dead EVERY day, long before it approaches the sell by date. I’d rather go to Grocery Outlet and get a good price and better quality than Luckys.
I just got to say….im tired of the the grocery stores GIVING all the food to pantries. So many people dont go to pantries or can't get there. Then theres people totally taking advantage of the pantries…i know some ladies who hit every pantry every week and they are single sitting with a lot of money in the bank. Just sad system 😢😢😢
