I use both. I prefer self checkout but I get CVS digital gift cards with my Ibotta rebates and I can't use it at self checkout. I find that so far the cashiers at my store are helpful and understanding with the coupons and trying to get the best deals.
We don't have a red box at my store at all! And, I looked! So all phone for me! But thanks to you, I have saved $637 just in the CVS app in the last 4 months! Thank you!!
And I use both cashier and self check out! So in my experience, the paper ones mess up at self check out! I did the degree unlimited with paper coupons, it raised my price! Not lowered it! Next time I am doing paper coupons by themselves. 😢

I always send coupons to card and I always use a cashier, I tried self checkout and i had issues and I had to get a cashier. My CVS cashier's are the best!!
It depends on what deals I’m doing. If I’m doing an all digital deal and have no % OFF Coupons I go to self check out. If I have some paper coupons and want to use the %OFF coupons I go with the cashier. Also I send everything to card but still check in with the red box machine because sometimes it’ll give me an extra paper coupon that I didn’t have in the app (usually like a 20%OFF coupon)

Mainly use the app & a cashier bc I have cvs digital gift cards I’ve won & I can’t use those at SCO. I do have a regular gift card too & sometimes use SCO if I know a cashier is problematic or if it’s really busy.
So for the loreal elvive scenario…. I had a $3 off $15 CRT and no other coupons for those. So I bought 4 at $4.99 and the coupon didn’t come off. But the same for the loreal mascaras, only the manufacturer came off and not the $3 off $15. I bought the right things, and when I scan each item in the app, those CRTs pop up but don’t attach at the register. Is this a known issue? I’m missing $6 off my receipt because of it. 😩 do you think customer service would help?
I use digital, mostly self checkout. But it glitches sometimes and they have to ring me up at the register

If its a familiar cashier ill go there but use sco when its busy
