⚠️THIS COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING! PLUS MORE SURPRISE PENNIES AT DOLLAR GENERAL!
🚨 SURPRISE PENNIES + BREAKING DOLLAR GENERAL NEWS?! 🚨
Dollar General Penny Shoppers… TODAY'S VIDEO IS A BIG ONE. 🪙👀
We're starting with the latest SURPRISE PENNIES popping up at Dollar General, including items you definitely need to have on your radar after the absolutely CRAZ-E penny drops we've been seeing lately!
But then…we need to talk. 😳
🚨 I have confirmed some BREAKING NEWS that could potentially change Penny Shopping at Dollar General as we know it.
Dollar General is currently TESTING DIGITAL PRICE TAGS in stores.
And the second I learned about this, I had one HUGE question:
👉 WHAT COULD THIS MEAN FOR PENNY SHOPPING?!
Digital shelf labels could allow prices and markdowns to be updated much faster than traditional paper shelf tags. So what happens when an item hits a penny? Could the shelf actually update to show $0.01? Could this make it easier for stores to identify penny merchandise before shoppers find it? Could it change clearance hunting? Or could digital pricing actually make finding markdowns EASIER?
And then there are the bigger questions surrounding this technology…
Walmart's move toward digital shelf labels has already sparked plenty of debate about dynamic pricing, privacy, tracking and just how much control retailers could eventually have over prices.
⚠️ To be clear: I'm NOT saying Dollar General is tracking shoppers, changing prices based on individual customers, or using personalized pricing. We have no evidence of that.
But Dollar General testing digital shelf labels opens up a MUCH bigger conversation about where retail pricing is headed — and what it could eventually mean for the Penny Shopping community.
🔥 Could this HELP Penny Shopping?
🔥 Could it make penny items harder to find?
🔥 Would you trust digital shelf pricing?
🔥 Could Penny Shopping eventually look completely different?
I want YOUR opinion on this one! 👇 Watch the video and then meet me in the comments because I think we need to have a BIG Penny Shopper discussion about this!

Thanks so much!
I have mixed feelings about the digital price tags. They work for Walmart because they have employees constantly going through each department and cleaning up misplaced items. DG doesn’t have the manpower to keep their stores organized so misplaced items are everywhere. I forsee a lot of missed penny items by employees who are just using the flashing price tags to identify them.
Thank you for sharing hopefully they don't do digital tagging I believe it won't work for us
Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
This won't work f9r clearance section, s
I thought there were new pennies…..
Well considering at the DG’s in my area the price tags are still from whenever they received the item in new I don’t know if they’ll ever get changed unless corporate comes and does it for them . Example, Swiffer duster on shelf sticker price $5 register price $6.50. I am not giving these people a hard time they just don’t have time or enough help to deal with more responsibilities for 2 people running a business.
Thank you as always for all your information. 😊
Wel first all items in store don’t have a place for pricing.
Can you imagine a price for every item that’s in the clearance section. Employees wouldn’t bother with it
However that might take a hit for surprise pennies
It kept throwing me out every other scan
My app glitches, once I enter a upc. Says something error processed. Really hope they don't go to digital tags. They have enough issues without any upgrades. Lol thanks for all you do!!🎉
One thing I hate about DG is the lack of WyFy, it’s hard to scan!! Our Mart has the digital tags!! I hate them!?!?! Thank you 😊 for all your hard work!! Blessings—
😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤thank you. Hopefully they don't change tags.
Thank you ❤❤❤🎉😂
If they go digital are they gonna do like Walmart and have which aisle it's on in the app. And does that mean we can do like Walmart and make it flash for us to. Then if so they won't really have to search for penny items to take them off the shelf or do as my manager does when they say an item is discontinued she takes it off the shelf then. It will be easier for them to remove the items. Which will make penny shopping harder for the ones that do it
Thank you!😊
How will this work with the seasonal items? Especially as they are moved around the store. Will employees have enough time to make sure tags go with merchandise when it's moved?
I hope mine has these sales! Nothing pennied at mine in VA
Thank you🎉 No to digital pricing tags.😊❤
What about when the app says “item not sold at your store”?
Thx you❤❤❤
Not a fan of electronic price tags. I see headaches in the future! What if it says $1.00 when you grab it and the price changes to $1.25 before you check out? Not cool!
Good morning, I have seen and utilized the digital tags at Walmart. If they’re put in DG it may impact Penny shopping at DG. The employees spend a good deal of time changing self tags weekly. Most of the time all the items don’t get updated. However, the hours spent on tagging the shelf’s could be used by the employees to walk through the store to check for penny items. However, I can’t see how this will work with there current store stock. Items do get moved and misplaced, but the employees have to change item places and shelves weekly. So it will take more time for them to setup new planograms. Hopefully we will still find misplaced items for .01 at DG. If the information continues to flow like it has for you, then perhaps we can beat the employees to the items that penny. Idk so many changes I know you will find a way for us to score. Thanks for all you do. 😊❤❤❤❤❤
It might help some employees but it may actually work to our benefit too. I don’t think penny shopping will end but it may be more challenging. I also heard they are reducing the number of products they will carry, one of reasons for the huge surprise penny drops.
I dont mind them but someone brought up a good point in one of my coupon groups, what if its one price when you pick it up and put it in your cart, but lets say the sale price ended or the price increases while your shopping, you wont know that until after you ring them up and pay. Thats kinda scary!
The digital stickers suck , they only work half the time ugh . Frustrated about the signing in over and over .
I didn't think it would be a good thing to have them digital. Thought it was cool the way the digital tags glowed if you were trying to find them in the app BUT I do not like the idea for DG.
