Here's a food hack: when you buy things like cheese and meat, buy the option that went through less processing e.g least cutting/ prepping. Buy a whole block of cheese and not pre-sliced cheese as pre-sliced and pre-grated cheese is more expensive at it has ALREADY been done.

Life hack that's an actual life hack:
Take a straw and place it in the top of a ziplock bag. Seal the bag around the straw and then use the straw to suck all the air out of the bag yourself. Then remove the straw and quickly seal the bag back up. It's not as fancy as getting a professional vacuum sealer, and it may not last as long, but it still does make everything seal up pretty tightly and does work very nicely.
