Aldi coupons – do they have or take any? Can you get any even deeper discount if you are a clipper? http://www.dimesandtime.com

For the most part you cannot use coupons at Aldi supermarket. They are giving you such a deep discount already, due to their streamlined business model, that taking coupons would not be cost effective. In other words, they would lose money most likely.

Also Aldi manufacturers many of their own products. So you will not find too many name brand items. Just off the top of my head I can think of my local store carrying Honey Nut Cheerios in the cereal section but the other 10 choices were all Aldi brand cereals.

There is an exception to this rule. When they have a grand opening of a new store they do give out coupons for the first few weeks to help attract new customers.

This was the case when they opened in my area. They were $10 off of $40 spent and they were good for the following or upcoming week. So the cashier would hand one to you at the end of your purchase in order for you to receive the discount the following week.

If they did have them in the local paper to kick things off I missed it. I didn’t “venture” in to the Aldi near me for the first few weeks. I thought they were a food version of Dollar Tree but I could not have been more wrong. It is more like quality food at a reasonable price for the hardworking every day man. 🙂
