ASRock Z370 Taichi — @NewEgg http://bit.ly/2A3KdHw
All ASRock Boards — @NewEgg http://bit.ly/2iiBEAR

Note: For the i7-8700K, I think the extra features, 2 extra power phases, and larger board make the Taichi the one to buy, for all the other Coffee Lake CPUs, get this one, it is a better overall value for anything other than a top of the line build.

UPDATED INFO – PLEASE READ
This video was filmed before I had put half a dozen Z370 boards on my new test bench, I will do a "roundup" review soon with my thoughts on various boards.

In short, this board offers huge value for the money, when I published this video it was selling for $139 on NewEgg. For a 10 phase power board with AC WiFi and Intel Gigabit included, that is an unbeatable deal.

Would I use this for a i7-8700K? Not really, I'd spend the money on the Taichi. If you're going to spend $400 on a CPU, $100 on a 280mm liquid cooler, and $750 on a GTX 1080 TI, $200 for a motherboard is reasonable.

Would I use for this a i7-8700 or anything else other than a i7-8700K? YES, all day long. Even without overclocking, this board ran without issue out of the box.

NOTE – Having said all of the above, the i7-8700K did overclock to 5.0GHz without issue on this board, so if that is what you're looking for, this will do it easily.

I'm so pissed about these black motherbords Asrock is coming out with for Z370 chipset. I wanted black for Ryzen for my x370 Taichi and yet all they had is white with black accents. Same with the Killer SLI. Z370 gets all black but X370 for Ryzen got white with black accents. You can't go wrong with all-black.

I have a i7 3930k hanging around. I also have spare memory sitting about, a gtx 690 (and a 760) that I thought I might use in a pc build, but can I hell find a good value x79 motherboard. Even used x79's are more pricy than this z370. Any help, ideas or links for good reliable x79 motherboards for under £100 (130 dollars).?

Jesse Estrada says:

In this video you mentioned that this board comes with some RGB lighting accents and stuff. I have seen that in a lot of videos of not just yours but a lot of time is put into this topic. My question is, am I paying extra for that? I have absolutely no care in the world if my motherboard has a racing stripe or not…if I could save $.75 by not having it I would do that. Is this even a thing that is to be concerned with now or are they just thrown in and you can turn them on if you want or not? Thanks again and you have amazing videos.

My first comment, I not sure if this is relevant, but wanted some of the internets feedback. Where I live the ryzen 5 1600 with B350 Motherboard looking at the gigabyte gaming 3 and 16 gb of ram cost about the same as the intel i5 8400 with mobo and 16gb of ram. i don't really care about motherboards that much. I mostly play games little bit of work for rendering here and there. I just wanted to add that I heard people say that intel systems feel smoother I just want to know will i feel the difference, because I just really want to upgrade still stuck with i5 2320 and 8gb of ddr3 memory and I know bit weird but a GTX 1070.

Hello can please someone help me. i want to buy an i5 8400 and i know its not overclockable but i read asus motherboard has some bios settings multicore enhancement that at least apply the highest turbo boost clock speed to all cores and not only to 1. Can this do it to? or better to go for an asus mobo? like the prime z370-p can do that or only the more expensive ?
