Here’s how you can take advantage of the “my best buy” rewards program, which was formerly called the reward zone. It’s free to join and there are 3 levels of membership

Base members get 1 point for every $1 spent and free shipping when they spend $35.

Become an elite member when you spend $1500 annually and get a 10% point bonus, plus free shipping with no minimum purchase. Elite plus is for members who spend $3500 annually and comes with a 25% point bonus and free expedited shipping.

Elite and elite plus members also get an extended return policy and have the option to point bank, which means your points will continue to accumulate until you ask Best Buy to issue a rewards certificate.

If you don’t set this as your preference or aren’t an elite member, then you will automatically receive a $5 rewards certificate every time you reach 250 points. However, even base members can specify that rewards are auto issued at ten or 20 dollars instead of five.

To earn points simply show your membership card or give your phone number at checkout. Enter your member id for online purchases.

If you forget to use your membership, you can report a missing purchase online or call customer service.

Once a certificate has been issued, you must use it before the expiration date. You can’t convert it back into points.

Here’s your hidden savings secret. If you love video games, you’ll want to join the my Best Buy gamers club for additional benefits.

You’ll get double points on video games, digital content and game accessories. Plus, 2 points for every dollar when you trade in games.

That’s how you can take advantage of the “My Best Buy” rewards program. If you want to find out how to save money at best buy or how to take advantage of price matching, click on the next video.
