In this video I will show you the benefits of buying canned goods in warehouse stores vs. grocery stores. It is ridiculous how much money you save (up to 90%) when buying canned goods at a warehouse store or warehouse club. I’ll also show you how to store warehouse size canned goods so you can really make the most of your savings. The advantage of shopping for canned goods at a warehouse club store is obvious! So save money by buying your canned goods at warehouse stores!

Don't think this was mentioned, I am a major user of SAMS club and now Costco since I moved. We usually use it all up so not much need for storage but if you have a foodsaver with the hose port, you can vacuum seal the jars and they will last much longer than a week in the fridge. I buy the #10 cans of crushed tomatoes and make homemade sauce and then seal it up in quart jars for the freezer. I vacuum seal the canned fruit and corn for the fridge. Works great.

aLBERTSONS Is expensive, I go to food city, El Super and frys and walmart

Itazuke Dee says:

Aldi spaghetti sauce is 99 cents a jar I reuse the jars after the labels are removed.

Itazuke Dee says:

check out ALDI all their 14.5 ounce canned goods (delicious) including tomatoes and tomato sauce corn, green beans and black beans etc are 49 cents each….that beats Albertsons hands down.. also forget the mason jars get a FOODSAVER and use that to package your vegetables, after frozen remove heat in Microwave and or heat in pot of boiling water, you can reuse the bags again and again just reseal. the best buys for a food saver can be found on QVC and I purchase the rolls of bags on Amazon.com for 21.00 for a giant roll.!!!

I'm a 19 year old planning on moving out soon and you've helped me out so so much with your great tips and tricks on couponing and saving ! Thanks so so much!

Simple Natural Mama says:

I love this video! I don't usually like to shop at Costco type places, I feel like a lot of people get sucked into buying too much of things they don't need AND at a higher price. BUT we have some staples we get there like that can of tomatoes that I put in mason jars and freeze. One can lasts me about 3 meals worth of homemade pasta sauce. We also like getting tortillas and grain free dog food there.

Christine Tosti says:

Can you re can in mason jars and reseal them?

spygal11 says:

Soooo bad for your health!!!
What about FRESH fruits and veggies?

All of that canned stuff is GMO crap!!!

What's more important? Saving a few cents? Or health?

Plus, plastic is an awful storage option. More chemicals in our food. Always go with glass!

Peg Innam says:

Awesome video, never would have thought to buy canned sauce from costco and then freeze it, awesome ideas, I love green beans but love the frozen better less sodium, thanks for sharing a great video!!! 🙂

SillyMando2008 says:

We eat a lot of canned goods in our house

lindsey smith says:

If you have a large family, I would think that buying large cans would be more economical. In my household, it's just me and my daughter…so, buying a huge can 'o green beans would just go to waste! The fruit would definitely go quickly and I would think I could freeze any that we couldn't consume in a few days (for use in smoothies or recipes).  I think the pasta sauce or really any canned tomatoes would definitely be a huge savings. Tomato products freeze so well. Definitely get the large cans if you cook a lot of meals in advance for the week and then freeze! TFS : )

Holly Delahaye says:

Thanks for this! I love Costco? But never thought about buying the huge cans there! I think I'm going to start doing this and use our food saver to seal the bags so I can freeze them! Thank you!

At Home with Heather says:

TFS, We have a membership to BJ's and they accept coupons that you can stack with one of their own coupons for even better savings! I never thought about canned goods before.

jgalaxy4 says:

Thanks Collin!!

Debbie G says:

If you do not have a Costco near you and have a membership there, try your Grocery Outlet store or URM Cash and Carry stores.  I have found even better deals on the large institutional sized cans of some fruits and veggies at Grocery Outlet than at Costco. 🙂  Just a thought. 🙂

knightnday10 says:

Great information! Thanks a lot for the video.

Mindy PatriotAngel says:

You could also dehydrate these things for long term storage…

Deana lovellette says:

Maybe you can freeze canned items such as canned beans?

tleeg74 says:

Do u take into consideration the Costco $55 annual fee? U dont get a annual fee to shop at grocery store. But im sure u still save.

Karen Wormell says:

Albertsons is soooo over priced. Can get deals of canned goods such as vegetables or canned tomatoes 49 cents

Nadia C. says:

do you have an Aldis store in your area? Their canned goods are super cheap. Small can of tomato sauce is 25 cent, small paste 39, 15 oz fruit is 59 or 69. I would never buy anything from Albertsons. Their prices are ridiculos. It would have to be an awesome sale to get me to buy from them. Aldis has literally saved families from starving.

lstone12 says:

My family and I eat organic. Could you do a savings on organic foods. I usually go crazy when they have coupons on organic canned goods and stock up.

Sara McLaughlin says:

Luckily our wholesale club, BJ's does take manf coupons 🙂 that helps

levimissy11 says:

Nick Silvestri says:

You're the best! 🙂
