If a company fires a manager, with no launch of an internal investigation of the incident that occurred, than the company has failed in protecting its employees. And if I were the manager, I would say screw the company. If these are the standards nowadays where you can be fired just from a video made by individuals, who are criminals nonetheless, than I don’t want to work for a franchise. Clearly they are only about protecting their image rather than their employees. Sickening!
The manager should just say no AND sue Chipotle.
I'm willing to bet that Chipotle changing its mind about having fired the manager was because someone pointed out that since they were aware (they've admitted that they were aware) of the guy who cried racism having been a repeated dine and dash perpetrator, that they had essentially fired the manager for a bad reason that could possibly result in them being sued into financial oblivion.

I worked in restaurants for at least 5 years. The only race that ever dine and dash were young blacks of all races. They would come in large groups right before closing then order a lot of expensive items. They slowly leave until there were about two left and those two would run out the emergency door. The staff knew it would happen but we couldn't refuse service because we were afraid of this kind of publicity.

How convenient it must be, in today’s society, to simply cry “racism” everywhere and anywhere whenever things don’t go your way. The media picks it up immediately and runs with it. Update: the new information was the man's Facebook. The man who shot the video has numerous posts over the years bragging about dining and dashing and causing problems to get free food.
She didn't get them confused with other people. They were able to prove through this guys Facebook that her claim "you didn't have money last time" was accurate, because he had posted photos and video of himself grabbing the food and running out of THAT EXACT chipotle.
Dine and dash then you get no service… Simple
