I’m going to talk a little bit about common store coupon policies.

So every store is different, and it’s even different on a regional level. You can’t even say there are national policies attached to these big grocery chains. They have policies that may only apply to their local regional districts. So, what we would recommend is making sure you Google that ahead of time. All of this is available online and you can get an idea of what the specific policies are for the stores you shop at most. Print this out. Create a binder. Put that right by your coupon binder and then you can make sure that you’re aware of that before you go out shopping.

When you’re looking at these policies, there’s a couple things to really keep in mind. Oftentimes, the triple and double couponing is one policy that we love, but it may or may not result in the most savings. So just because a store offers the ability for you to double or triple your coupons doesn’t mean that it’s going to save you more, because their prices may be jacked up a little bit to reflect that policy. Just be aware of that. That’s not all stores, but is certainly some.

Secondly, it’s important to know if a store allows you to stack coupons. So can you stack manufacture coupons on top of store coupons? That’s where a lot of savings can happen, but not all of stores allow it. Just being aware of those policies ahead of time is pretty important.

So there’s just a couple of tips on coupon store policies.
