So I was visiting Gilroy Costco and found out they have 3 types of dry cat food:  Kirkland Maintenance (Chicken and Rice – https://amzn.to/2nsLxPs  ), Nature’s Domain (Salmon and Potato – https://amzn.to/2vxbi5y ) and Nutra Nuggets .  Respectively the costs were $18 for 20 lbs, $18 for 18 lbs, and $9 for 20 lbs.  They had the Natures Domain on sale with a $4 coupon price.

I picked up 3 bags of the Natures Domain since i havent see them on sale for a while.  I am hoping my cat likes it otherwise i need to return it.

OMG, I was about to buy the nutra nuggets for a feral cat that we feed daily. I don't want him sick and end up dead. I'll stick with what I'm feeding him…moving on.

POSTED FROM A FERAL CAT SITE VET TECH JAYNE BELONGS TO:

I have filed a complaint with the FDA and will be filing one with Costco. 6 cats have now died and another is showing the same symptoms today. These cats are all my friends personal cats. He’s never had issues with the cats until he started feeding this food. Symptoms are gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting, bloody diarrhea, lethargy, not eating, weight loss, painful swollen bladders, constantly going to the litter box but not peeing. One survived and was diagnosed with cystitis. Another had a urinary blockage, another had a bile duct blockage. The owner free fed this food along with Friskies canned food daily. He stopped feeding the dry food, and dry food altogether nearly a month ago, but the damage has apparently been done. Sadly more may die as time goes on and they exhibit symptoms. I was feeding this food to my ferals, one started having urinary issues but I caught it in time. He has healed. Another was pulling out his hair not long after feeding this food, he used to have a beautiful fur coat, now he looks so scraggly, he also was scratching intensely all the time. All the bags are from the Costco in Citrus Heights but each batch was bought at different times. Please be careful if you are feeding this food, I hate to see more get sick or die. 😓 be careful.

I know this is an old YouTube post but….. I Just bought the nutra-nyggets dry cat food & now my cats are sick!!! I have NEVER bought cat food from Costco and only did because I was there & didn't want to go to the other store & expose myself further more during this pandemic times. *warning please dont feed it to your cats* my little one has been hiding, not eating or drinking for 2 days & the older one is vomiting & crying out in pain. I hope a vet is open locally. I don't want to lose my babies.

Nutra nuggets is complete garbage! Look at the first ingredient> I accidentally grabbed this back and have been feeding it it to my 2 cats. almost gone, and my one cat has been throwing up daily . I assumed it was hairballs and old age just getting worse. I finally decided to sit down and try and figure something out and as I was looking at foods for hair balls and reading ingredients I couldn't believe costco was that much worse. I went to costcos and read ingredients. I must have accidentally grabbed the nutra nugget because it was orange. I was reading the ingredients on my bag and first ingredient is CORN!!!.. all garbage. I def would never have actively chosen this bag. I just totally had a brain glitch and must have grabbed it. STAY on the maintenance. those ingredients look decent.

I feed 3 feral cats in my backyard. I've been buying the Purina Paté Wet Cat Food – 60 containers for $30 at costco and I complete the box in a month. Nutra Nugget caught my attention because it only $10 and more food for the cats. Couldn't find any review for the Nutra Nugget though.
