That happened to me.
Wow I can't believe what that cashier told you. They can't sell it to you. WTF. Why do you have it in the store hanging up everywhere? I have worked in stores before, if that was the case everything would have been pulled, nothing would be availible to the public. Maybe they were not sopposed to be ringing up at one cent. You can adjust down a price if it isn't ringing right, but if it is ringing up for one cent, that is the price until it is fixed in their computer.
