GameStop is doing everything it can to prevent me from redeeming my points. Time to start fighting back.

This video started out as one thing and ended up another. I thought I would be spending the day hitting up local GameStop stores and using my 900,000 Pro Member points to buy video games to flip.

But because of multiple obstacles that GameStop has put in place, either due to negligence or malice, I’ve been completely unable to access my points. Stores have arbitrary daily limits, the GameStop app doesn’t work, online hyperlinks for redemption are dead, and coupon codes don’t function. After dealing with all this trouble, it’s about time I change tactics.

Let me know below if you’ve had similar experiences and ESPECIALLY if you know how to get past any of these challenges!

Interested in seeing where this goes. I'm in the same exact boat as you are. None of my points work for anything right now. I'm assuming they block your redemption if over a certain amount or what not (or if accused as a reseller).

Be careful with saving your points, i had a little over 100$ in points saved up and somehow somebody hacked into them or whatever and spent them, i called customer service was on phone for like 2 hrs and they tried to make it out like it was my fault the points were stolen, went in store to try to get it resolved, nobody could figure it out, so I lost all my points and they lost a customer. Havent been in there for over 2 years, pretty shady theyre willing to lose a good paying customer over points being stolen out of my account, oh well just been buying my games elsewhere and online

I think your best bet is to redeem in store most store managers will know loopholes to help you redeem your rewards.

I am still waiting why I was told I have to go to their “bulk buying” department now. I haven’t been back. I asked a friend to look up my account if it was flagged, he couldn’t tell. I used to be a massive GameStop supporter. Not really any more.
