I live in Niskayuna, which isn't too far from your area. As far as good discount grocery stores I have 2 suggestions- #1 is PriceRite which is in the same "strip mall" as Ocean State Job Lot in Schenectady. Take a look at their online flyer. Right now pork shoulder $0.99 lb. & Jimmy Dean bacon $2.99 a pack. I would take a look at their flyer. #2- I use Flipp app (free app) which gathers ALL of the circulars from every local store around and makes them searchable and comparable. It allows u to circle things which will make a grocery list for u and it compares prices between all stores. It's free. I use it all of the time so I know where to shop around here 😊

We have 4 Amish and Mennonite Liquidation stores that we buy 90% of our groceries from. So much more reasonable than the chain stores we have.
