In today's vlog we were gifted a Hot Air Balloon Ride by Ocean Florida, we have never done a Hot Air Balloon ride and didn't know you could do this. So as you can tell we were very excited to do this and experience new things to do in Orlando.
So we start the day very early in the morning by the Davenport area just outside Kissimmee Florida, this is where we were going to be seeing the Hot Air Balloons being set up and of course we will be taking flight in the same area as well. But before this happened we had to arrive at the Orlando Balloon ride building so we could check in and to fill out some paperwork regarding health and safety which is very important you can also leave any bags you have with you at reception or in your car if you drove there, also the day before your flight you must contact them via telephone so you can be informed what time your flight will be happening as most of there flights happen very early in the morning so make sure you get a good nights sleep the day before. For this flight we had to be there at 5:30am you can also arrange collection from your hotel if you do not have a car.
After all that we watched the Hot air Balloon crew setup the hot air balloons and it was amazing to see all this going on, we had 3 Hot Air Balloon rides happening 2 were for small groups of 4/6 while our one Hot Air Balloon was for 17 and the basket was a good size but expect to get close to the other people.
We were instructed how to get on and off the basket and put into groups of 4, each group went in to the basket sections and then we were ready for take off. The crew were amazing for what they did and the pilot was brilliant and hilarious. The views we got to experience were amazing and surprisingly it was very quiet and so so peaceful. The pilot pointed out certain areas like Disney World (which was sadly not clear enough for us to see) and other points of interest.
As we were going across Orlando Florida it was time to land, before we took off we were informed what to do by the crew at Orlando Hot Air Balloon ride company so we were ready for this, as we descended down we hit a few trees which was a weird feeling and super scary, but we laded just next to Cracker Barrel and it was a bumpy landing we also nearly had our basket on the side which was hilarious. After we landed some of the passengers included the both of us decided to help them put the Hot Air Balloon away (you are allowed to do this as they do ask but it is not required) We then left and headed back to the check in desk to collect our bags (if you left them there) and also receive a Certificate that is signed by the Pilot and you receive some drinks and snacks.

Getting on a hot air balloon is now on my bucket list
I did a hot air balloon experience a few years ago and was probably one of the most amazing things I've done in florida!! The views of disney was amazing and it was just such a relaxing and calm and just an incredible experience!! Glad you loved it to! Can't wait to do it again!
So fun! We just did our first balloon ride in Albuquerque NM, in April! Amazing activity. Would do it again and again. We almost landed in a private backyard. 😃

wow, this was something else huh. Amazing views. I am actually scared to death from hot air balloons. But my grandpa used to love them. We gave him a balloon ride for his birthday a long long time ago. He couldn't fly with an airplane because he had an artificial heart valve, but he could fly with a hot air balloon so that's what we gifted him and he was so happy. He was given it multiple times after that because it made him so happy. Aww…. now I miss him so much. 🙁 thank you for sharing this with us, Stephie and Dave. Must've been an amazing morning for you both xxxx

What a great treat. Sadly I haven’t got a head for heights so a no no for me, plus being in a wheelchair might be a disadvantage. Lol. However what a lovely way to see the region, you had some fantastic views, though I thought you were landing in the trees at one point. ha,ha.
Sooooo beautiful! I have to enjoy it vicariously thru you, because I am terrified so thank you. At one point someone had their cell phone out a little over the basket edge and I was panicked they would drop it. Others would throw me out of the basket for being a pain. How long were you in the air?
