I hate when couponing goes wrong. I shopped at Dollar General today to take advantage of the $5 off $25 coupon. For some reason, the code wouldn’t work. I really should have just voided everything and left, but I didn’t. I am going to try my luck with the corporate office to see if I can get the money that didn’t come off back. UPDATE: I have been studying my receipt and now I see what happened! When the cashier re-rung up my transaction, she did not ring up 2 of the Dentyne Ice . That put me below $25 by like a few cents. Mind you…she still has my coupons…for the gum and also the Febreze that did not come off. I pray that I can get a positive resolution to this fiasco.

Ik I use family dollar $5/$25 and it had to be $25 after coupons. Also dollar general registers sometimes skip a q. Did the receipt show where it took off for deo? Also I seen the frebreeze $.75 and $.50 deducted: but did it do it x2?

My DG cashiers always remind each other to scan that 5off25$ coupon first. Then follow with any other coupons. Never had any issues this way, sounds like things just got too twisted around and snowballed. DG is usually good for compensating and making the customer happy.
They did that to me with my other coupons and DG corp said yes I could use both. After I checked out it would not take off some of my qpons . I have not been back since I will stick to trget and cvs and walgreens
