i work at dollar general and the system is old so yes some of the coupons do not scan, but i do agree if the employee does read the coupon and it does match they should manually take it off.
i missed out on the mp3 deal and robes. but there will be other deals. i was the second customer in the store that morning but didnt kno about the deals until i made it home 45 min later
Oh yeah and my cashier told me "no we don't have any mp3's they were ringing up for 10 dollars and I wanted one but they're gone ………I said " I think there's one behind you , she turned every color in the book like DAMMMMM ! She had no choice but to give it to me . The employes were taking the zone games to the back for themselves…..and saying no we don't have any" when I clearly was seeing them ,it's ok though God don't like ugly ! xo Jessie
Yes , greg you hit the nail on the head….they chew us newbies up and spit us out making us feel like we were doing something wrong. I just got off the phone with a cvs representative explaining how per purchase means per item not per whole shopping trip. I left all the nature mades on the counter and my drive overthere was 45 minutes to get there ! UGH. xo Jessie

I think that they figured out we were couponing…so they changed the registers to take cents off each item and consider it a coupon on each item…that way it turns down our coupons by thinking it already had a coupon on that item….hadn't heard about the scan bar though…you may be right….when i heard about the players my CVS was already out, you know the employees had already hit them…sighs…oh well….
i went to a CVS today and asked about the mp3 player and one cashier can over and whispered to the cashier that was ringing me. Well he thought he was whispering. He told the cashier that was ringing me up that they had but a bunch of the mp3 players in the back room for themselves. I just asked for one of those you guys put in the back for yourselves. He reached under the counter and said this is the last one. ( yea right)
In my city we only have like 12 CVS stores, I called 8 stores after seeing your video last night and they said they were all sold out, I called because it was so late the stores were closing and we only have 2 24 hour stores, I was very disappointed. Hopefully next time I can catch the deal before everything is sold out.(-:
My mom said a lady scanned the ereader on the redbox at CVS an it said $149.99 an she put it back an when my mom saw the price she wasn't gonna get it… I said NO have them ring it up an they did an it was $20 ..so that lady missed out.
I bought mp3 players yesterday at 8p ccs close at 10 ..didn't kno about the videoplayer. Today I found ONE at a different CVS. They were fully stocked yesterday ..I'm not STUPID. Nobody knew they were 9.99 they pulled them on purpose.
I flew out my door yesterday when you said run, but the CVS cashiers looked all around and acted like they were already sold out, then one of them finally admitted that she had bought all they had the night before, and then went to all the other CVSs in our area and bought all of those. Surprised that she admitted to doing that. So no players of any kind in our area.
But so many thanks to you about Dollar General. My deal on the Swiffers worked just fine. Some we win, some we don't.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one. In my 5.00 off 25.00 deal, my Swiffer coupon did scan for 8.00 off. However, my 4 Cortaid coupons would not scan at all. I assumed that it was because their system is old. Maybe it was because the Cortaid was 2.50(minus part of the 5.00 discount) and my coupon was 3.00. I was so not a happy camper:(
Hello I made a video and gave you a shout out. I also had a question about walgreens RR I wasn't able to use with my other manufactor coupons. I thought RR were towards any purchase you make. Should I have given the RR first then coupons? If you have time can you watch and give me your opinion. Thanks GregThatDude!

They really get an attitude when you come in for the deals. they actually took the sign down that they had up the night before. Then tried to tell me these are not the ones that are on sale. I had to make him ring it up.
