In tutorial #5 of this 10 part drupal video tutorial series on the Commerce module, I show you how we can apply discounts to commerce orders by using Commerce Coupon module, specifically fixed price and percentage coupons. This is made really simple by using the Commerce Coupon Percentage and Commerce Coupon Fixed Price modules and Rules.

Thanks Pete, Legendary Tuts as always 😉 Just one question, do you know of a method / module / rule-setting(s) – that allows for: > minimum spend = discount
?

I have found a few ways, (https://www.drupal.org/node/1824188) but all methods have users reporting bugs regarding updating the price total, after a product is removed, then re-evaluating => (applying / removing discount) if the new price is still over the min spend amount required for the discount to apply.

Cheers and thanks again!

I didn't have any coupon types in my coupons page. I solved the issue when installing version 7.x-1.x-dev instead of 7.x-1.0-beta7 for both modules commerce_coupon_fixed_amount and commerce_coupon_pct. Hope it could help someone !

Hi… It's a great video and channel. I'm sending a mail campaign with a coupon code. I'd like the user enter the coupon code in the landing page to show the discount items. Is it possible?

Ivailo Kadiyski says:

I don't have any coupon types in my coupons page. I did everything as shown, but still cant find the problem. I have only "create discount coupon", but not percentage or fixed price.. Please if there is somebody who has an idea of how am I supposed to fix that, share it with me.

Thanks. Great video. Very very useful and to the point.

InterComm South Africa says:

If one wanted to have a discount only for people of a certain role (e.g. preferential customer) you would create a new [fixed price] rule and include the roles as a condition? Or is this easier to set elsewhere?

Very helpful! How would I make a 100% off an order? Added a decimal field like your shows

Thank you!!!! I was not actually finding how to use a minimal amount for a coupon as the rule was not made. Great vid! 🙂

Tom Binroth says:

As a administrator how do I manually apply a coupon to an existing order?

Tom Binroth says:

Excellent in-depth tutorial! Note there's also commerce_coupon version 7.x-2.0-beta3 available which integrates with Commerce Discount. Now you can add coupon codes to any existing type of discount offer. Add coupon codes to discounts in the standalone coupon UI or on the discount edit form.
