Everything’s FREE after 11:30 PM at this Chinese grocery store #lifeinchina
Everything’s free after 11:30 PM at this Chinese grocery store!
Well, that's what they claim. Actually, it's a smart marketing move.
Starting at 7 PM, prices drop by 10% every 30 minutes.
So by 11:30, everything is free.
Their slogan? 'No overnight food.'
It works!
By 8 PM, the place is packed with people hunting for 30% off deals.
It's a win-win: fresh food for customers, no waste for the store!

Update:
Hey! I just made a full-length video diving deeper into how this store works.
You can tap the ▶ icon in the bottom-left “Related Videos” section to watch it —
or just click here:

=======================
Heads-up! I misspoke in the voiceover — it should be 11:30 PM, not 11:00 PM in the first sentence. Sorry for the confusion! The rest of the times mentioned are correct. Thanks for watching!
Also, a quick note about the store featured in the video — it’s QianDama, a chain of over 3,000 fresh food stores across China. I didn’t mention the name in the video because I didn’t want it to come across like a promotional ad.
QianDama is actually a big deal in China, and every store follows the same pricing strategy. While they do claim that everything is free after 11:30 PM, in reality, most items are already sold out by around 9:00 PM (when it hits 50% off) or 9:30 PM (60% off). So in most cases, there’s not much left to give away for free.

外国人羡慕吧😂伟大的中国的菜篮子工程你们是想象不到的😊
You should come to America. You can go to Publix at around 9:30 and buy one avocado for $32 lol it's way better
1.35$ for blueberry 🫐 is still alot cheaper than in Vietnam
125gr for 3.47$
Its expensive!!
Then everyone waits till night and shop then.
But yet here in America, companies waste food all the time and if you try to take they're wasted food they try to make you pay for it. 😂 Sad reality honestly
It’s super standard to do it I work in a internship at a pets store in Germany and when new stuff even gets damaged and not a lot of it is inside the bag anymore we they discount it
I work in grocery and the amount of food that gets thrown out is astounding. Not even necessarily bad, just with dented boxes or a single wilted leaf in a salad mix. The best part is, I sometimes struggle to pay my grocery bill but if I took that “waste” home, I’d probably get fired for theft.
Wild times, living in the “greatest country in the world”.
Meanwhile in the west they pour bleach over the food they don't sell
People probably hang out for an hour there "shopping" without checking out. 😂
资本家的牛奶,宁愿倒了也不会分给穷人
Here in the US, they throw food out and spray it with poison so no one can eat it, and between 30-40% of all food produced in the US is literally just thrown out.
MF’s who bought something and found out at 11:29 😂
Why would I use money, I'd be there every day at 11 pm
Westerners: Sanction this Chinese grocery store! They're undermining capitalism and market rules!
Must be applied to all supermarket in the world. Those stores should get a huge tax discount for their good will. 👌👍💯
