Mike Yaeger says:

i am a couponer i do it fast food out to eat and hoping

Mc Kenna says:

Looking at the date of this video.  That same JCPenney CEO was later fired by the board after he brought JCPenney crashing down.  After he left – the board said, "hey, seems our customers DID like and want the coupons."  Sometimes coupons make the consumer feel like…they got one over on the company/next person buying without a coupon.  Yeah… it feels pretty good.  But as for stockpiling…that's where I draw the line myself.  I will buy a back-up or two (as long as they don't expire)…but there comes a point where…you are just hoarding and addicted to the "shopping experience".  No thanks to THAT.

SuperGirl1970 Carver says:

I wont buy apple since they sent me defective product. paying high price for junk.

Shelly Jason says:

what's mind boggling to me is how SOME couponers who exposed their tricks on a national television show not expect stores to get hip to their couponing trend and try to find ways to road block it. The best thing they could have done was not go on television and brag on how they are paying little to nothing for products, or getting it free in some instances. I understand it helped a little by the rules being set more clear, but I personally think that's a small trade off.

Aisha M says:

Or hire a couponer to come give a talk to the employees!

Mystic Becerra says:

i think the store manager should do some kind of class for there employees on how to detect a fake coupon.

Mystic Becerra says:

they are so ignorant they have done that to me too 🙁

mmmmmvodka says:

That's interesting. Mainly because the manufacturers' reimburse them for it. However, I assume those who don't know their policy are actually new managers. It's always better to go to a store who has a store manager that has been there for years. Usually these are grocery stores.

GoogleMember says:

Great interview! Thanks for representing us good ones.

Suzette C says:

i think part of that is due to fraud–stores take a risk to accept qpons. plus they have to wait a while to get reimbursed…so they're footing the bill until the reimbursement comes. if the cashier accepts a qpon for an unmatched item, the store loses money since the manufacturer can refuse reimbursement in that case.

Suzette C says:

that's absolutely correct. the store gets reimburse for the full value of whatever is on the qpon, regardless of what you pay as the customer.

Suzette C says:

In that case, more stores should prohibit returns without a receipt or only allow store credit at a lesser value.

Suzette C says:

Yeah, i get that too, especially if I'm stacking. Like the store is making money whether I get the item for free OR for pennies on the dollar.

watizzright says:

Just go to SMITHS they never change theyre policy…5coupons allowed per item per transaction…that's it simple and direct. You can divide your shopping into 2 transactions. I usually get 10 sunday papers so i get 10 coupons for an item. I divide my shopping into 2 and then use my coupons at the register for 2 seperate transactions….
simple easy and no complaints or refusals from the cashier I usually get compliments from the cashiers they say…i wish all shoppers would do this!!!

68NYC2 says:

Good info.
Bottomline is they will always see cash in hand as the best transaction.
Alot of stores lose money on returns without receipt like say walmart.
It's even worse if they were free items being returned-combine that with a lax return policy.
…and as you all know-couponing abuse.
Coupons rock… but I kinda see it from both sides.

TruthBeKnown says:

So tired of cashier dictating my legitimate purchase with coupons. Is it true a coupon for 1 is used on an item selling for 99 can be adjusted and will the store receive 1 from manufacture ?

Someone please confirm this. I'm tired of being told how I can spend or not spend my money. In the cashiers eyes. I want something for free and I am scamming. What she does not realize is nothing is free and they the store will make a 1 on the deal

livingpoor says:

i coupon at walgreens and walmart. i love it when walmart pays me to take stuff and if done right walgreens is great for couponer to get free stuff too. i have even posted videos of the stuff i got

Jenny Lee says:

I totally agree! Why strict couponers when all the coupons you get you're going to get the money back anyways?I don't understand

CaramelSista says:

@ACTORDAVIDTRAN Its Ralphs that you r referring to. and in order to get double, you would have to do multiples transactions to get the best savings. Depending on how many qpons u have for that same item, will determine how many transactions you will have to do.

CaramelSista says:

@bartonsandra U can do this scenrio at CVS, according to their coupon policy, they allow bogo sale with bogo qpon. Just take their qpon policy with you, and make sure it's up to date. next time u have this problem, u show them the policy and tell them tha your following all the rules. Hope this helps. 🙂

Laxee Her says:

I also hate how we have to educate the employees about their own policy. Such a headache!

Sac Bbw916 says:

Its funny how people seem to only care if there is a coupon involved. If I walked into a store and bought 5, 10 or 20 of an item and paid CASH….no one would say boo. But because there is a coupon involved all of a sudden there is an issue. I agree that Target, Walgreens and Walmart in that order are the worst when it comes to coupons. Walgreens is even doing "reverse coupon fraud" ! Stores can set limits all they want but I think the true problem is that they dont order properly for sales.

Michael Garcia says:

"Bad Apples"didn't she used to "clear out" stores? eh still like the show.

Helena Owens says:

Not all couponers hoard the things they buy there are quite a lot of us who donate the majority of items we purchase to local shelters and soup kitchens for the homeless and less fortunate which we would not be able to do if not for using coupons…how many people do you know that are so giving????????

Abloj Thao says:

I think its good they are limiting. On the other hand coupons has def. increased and I feel the stores are getting fed up with dealing with us couponers. For example Walgreens, horrible service and its the same lady every time, if she knows you're a couponer she instantly gets annoyed because she doesn't want to deal with it.

Claudia Mcparland says:

Saving money is great but i think that all the people on the Extreme Couponing show are crazy and over the top. Good for the retailers for changing their policies, how many bottles of hot sauce do you greedy idiots need…people starving in third world countries and we have people in the Unites States hoarding food in their bathrooms..you people make me sick.

Katherine Moreira says:

I have barely seen any good deals here in Miami, FL for the past 2 or 3 months. I've read countless times the Walmart policy allowing overage or cash back and even corporate won't honor their coupon policy. My Walgreens won't even accept my printed coupons when it clearly states in the policy that it's allow and won't even accept my coupons when they are worth more than the item even though the policy states that the coupon will only equal to the amount of the item. I do believe that retailers

ACTORDAVIDTRAN says:

I forget what store locally I called it was in So Cal I called but they had told me only the first coupon of an item would be doubled up to that dollar max cap. And subsequent items in that transaction would not be deemed matchable to that dollar. Ralph's or Von's it was. Pretty sad that that show selling out on the concept is now punishing us savings wise.

LadyTheFae says:

Even when we are using our coupons, most of us still buy other things as well in these stores…and its not like we get 100% off every time…our coupons are our cash and these stores just need to accept that and understand that we are doing everything we can to save money during this hard economic time we are in…and you know what…they could be doing it too!…Smiles! Lady.
