Lori McKellar says:

You should buy a whole chicken, have it for dinner one night and then use the left overs for your soup, much better. I love boneless skinless chicken, but not for soup

Lori McKellar says:

I always splurge on Real maple syrup, but I buy it at Aldi's. When I was young my best friend's mom never bought syrup, she made it with brown sugar, and I'm not sure but she probably added maple extract. It was good, I thought better than the store stuff mom always bought.

Lori McKellar says:

You could save a lot of money just by growing your own fresh herbs.

4:48 lol THyme lol I had to rewind Kayla 🤣🤣 as I’m doing my makeup listening / watching. it’s just TIME LOL … great menu ! Tip with the chicken noodle soup. If you’re going to make extra for left overs don’t put the noodles in the soup and save. Cook the noodles separately then add the broth to it. If you save the noodles in the broth the noodles will swell up and become mush ❤

That spice cake / can pumpkin was so dry to me !I made it last week. Let us know how it turned out for you.I gotta figure out how to make it more moist without changing the flavor

Danielle Chase says:

I love your videos! You’ve probably mentioned it before—but where your shopping bag from? It’s so cute

Nicole Pulliam says:

me again, in the produce section you can often find the little plastic lemons of lemon juice. Its less to store, as rarely do we use that much per recipe. I decided to do this once I found out I'd end up dumping the larger bottles because they expired before I went through it. Good tips. Also. they are predicting lots of food shortages coming soon, stock up on baking supplies when you can (noting the lack of brown sugar and pumpkin). Your sweatshirt is perfection! Thanks for all your hard work Kayla

Denise Warner says:

Awesome video!
Looking forward to your cooking videos!
If you ever want the little bottles of lime and lemon juice you can find them in the produce section for less than a dollar!
Hope you are able to find the pumpkin 🎃

Hi Kayla. I'm in Michigan price definitely are up on food. We don't pay taxes on food, but have a 10 cent on pop or soda bottles or cans. I was at Walmart yesterday no brown sugar.

Crystal Sherwood says:

MN here, I'd say our prices are about the same at Walmart. We shop (besides couponing) exclusively at a discount food store… Feels like shopping prices back in the 1990s, we love our discount food stores!

Sydney Rose says:

I’m from Wisconsin and our prices are pretty much the same. My husband and I are a family of two and spend about $80 per week on groceries.

Monica Tackett says:

I'm in Alabama. Similar prices here but 9% taxes. I am usually able to feed our family of 5 for around $100-115 per week. And the Great Value Texas Toast is really good, we use it for pizza pockets, grilled cheese and homemade garlic toast. 🙂
