I've been shopping at The Home Depot for a long time but I do often shop at Lowe's also so i thought this lowes vs home depot video would be a good video to make. You may have seen a video by Company Man which actually gave me the inspiration for this video + I also got a comment from a viewer asking me to compare the home depot store with the lowes store.

In this video The Deal Guy is showing you why lowes is better than home depot is some respects and why home depot is better than lowes for other reasons. You may have already seen my home depot secrets and lowes secrets video and I thought that instead of doing a home depot deals of the day I would make a video on which store was better. I went into the stores and filmed some footage so this is almost like a home depot shop with me and a lowes shop with me except i'm showing you the home depot deals and lowes deals that you should be paying attention to.

Maybe I will consider shopping at Lowe’s again someday, but not before they refund my credit card for the item I ordered on line 12 weeks ago and never received. I have incident numbers and promises but no product and no refund.

I mostly prefer Lowe’s for any home renovations however I do think Home Depot selling Milwaukee brand tools is a huge advantage.

Pretty much right on target with what I find with Lowes and Home Depot. One other advantage Lowes has is every store layout is pretty much the same whereas with H.D. every store is very different from every other store. That is true not only in the same town but across the country. Even as a contractor I find that to be frustrating and time consuming. And time is money. Also I find it very much depends on the manager of that store as to whether I prefer a particular Lowes or H.D. For me customer service is the determining factor for where I shop. Needless to say I avoid both of them as much as possible and instead shop local suppliers.
I'm Canadian, Home Depot hands down! Lowes has only been here a few years, everytime (it's actually become a family joke) I go there, customer service is pretty bad, I've been sent from one end if the store to the other by employees that are guessing where stuff is. I have never walked out of the store with a purchase. It's really unfortunate because Lowes is right around the corner and HD is a 15 min drive ✌🇨🇦

In my experience, Home Depot is better than Lowe in many way. I have many bad experiences shopping online at lowes, they alway cancel my purchases without notified me.
I'll take Lowe's. I see more "core" employees, which means more product knowledge and better customer service.Also, LONG before Home Depot, Lowe's was offering a 10% Veterans discount by merely presenting your MyLowes card. Home Depot might give the discount on Veterans Day, Feb 29th, and and only after producing your DD214 and photo ID. Also your Veterans discount could be applied to special orders and online orders at Lowes, not Home Depot. If I need to build a house , I can go to Lowe's with a list of materials and Lowe's will source the list and deliver with a 10% discount. I did recently purchase a Honda generator from HD because Lowe's didn't have one. Got my 10% but only for the first $1000. No discount exceeding $1000. I'll take Lowe's!
Home depot in Canada is better then LOWE'S here .
If I don’t need help and don’t care about a headache from the gaudy orange, I will go to HD. They do have some great stuff and we go there probably more than Lowe’s. But at HD you can never find anyone to help….and when you do, they never know anything or say they don’t actually work in that department. But their lumber is definitely way better!

I start with Lowes. Lowes has a 10% discount for veterans. Home Depot has a discount for "veterans" but that means active duty service members ONLY. Boo. Totally misleading advertising. My DD-214 won't even get me a free cup of coffee at Home Depot. Lowes has more parking spaces for veterans as well. Home Depot would probably tow me away.
We also bought a major appliance at Lowes.
Neither. Both suck.
Lowe's give a 10% discount to all military and all vets all year long. You just have to verify your status and link it to your MyLowes account which gives the discount online as well. Home Depot only gives ID card holders a discount all year and only in store. Lowe's will give the discount on sale items, Depot will not.
I prefer Home Depot. As far as interior paint goes I only use Benjamin Moore paint. Just a tip Home Depot artificial Christmas trees are phenomenal Black Friday prices are spectacular.
i like lowes a little better dont care about rentals because iidont need big equipment drill screwdrivers stuff like that all i need as a regular person i like the appliances better at lowes
When pricing out Trex Elevations steel framing from HD and Lowes, for the exact order, Lowes was $3000 cheaper. For the exact same order! A lady at HD said, you should of have checked with our Pro section. I told her they should just be competitive. Why should I have to inquire and search? No brainer and as others have stated. Lowes has the military discount and I just like the store better, always have.

I often go to Lowes instead of HD because I can go right to what I need. The new HD has so much on its shelves even the workers get lost.

Home Depot for me. Close to home, I love the smell and the plant guarantee is a most for me. Don't use their credit cards and I am patient on delivery sooooo. wink wink Home Depot Cheers
