It’s STOCKTOBER! I filmed this video back in August but saved it for this month, knowing it would be a perfect way to show you how I shop for my family of 7 on a budget, and build a stockpile at the SAME TIME (…without using coupons!)! This video is full of grocery shopping tips galore. Got teenagers? Maybe thus haul would only last you one week instead of two. Still, super affordable and a smart way to shop! So feel free to adopt a little as needed but be very careful not to let things give you a mental excuse for automatically spending more!

This was super inspiring! My family eats pretty similar but I’m pretty jealous of those prices, that kind of haul up here in Canada would easily be $400. But I’m gonna try some of your tips and see if I can’t shave some more $ off my groceries. Thanks for the inspo!!!

I'm from India and here, you're considered a lazy and irresponsible person for eating frozen food. We are not in a war era, we should be eating fresh. Also, according to ancient Indian science, you should eat food within 3 hours of making it or you're just eating dead food which doesn't carry a lot of nutritional value so smoothie bags, apple sauce aren't very good. Also, canned tomatoes or canned anything is bad. It's not food that's the problem, it's the can. I understand that for some people it might not be feasible to get fresh food everytime as it can be expensive and people generally live away from farms and know little to nothing about gardening or growing their own veggies and herbs but that just reflects a deeper issue. There's a reason the basic needs are food, shelter and clothing and not travel, experiences and clothing. I think eating good wholesome food should be treated as an investment. Entertainment is important but not necessary and personally, I wouldn't choose cheap food so I can go to Disneyland. Also, that is so much plastic. As humans, we often value saving a buck over saving the planet. We all could use some reflection and try to be more compassionate and thoughtful with what we put in our body and what we put in our landfills. 🙂

I really just think you’d love this, it’s a great fix for your jar salads dilemma, re use your fruit snack & apple sauce cups on the tops of mason jars to separate your fruits or salad toppers, whatever you’d like. You can also set the small closed dressing cup inside (on top of the jar, inside the fruit cup upside down) the fruit cups/apple sauce cups upside down will fit perfectly on a mason jar. It’s great:) dressings/sour cream etc. stay fresher longer while upside down with a good sealed lid so works great! Walmart has a large pack of the small dressing cups with lids for very cheap. i found your channel, just minutes ago. so I subscribed. If can subscribe to a channel just for entertainment purposes only, why not do it to a channel which will give me ideas and will surely benefit from? And of course will lessen the financial stress i am experiencing, knowing that I can get out of debt. love your channel.

Where is the banana recipe?:)

Diane Neeley says:

Yes, there are some items that have no nutritional value and may not be healthy, but that is not the point of this video. It's buying groceries on a budget and how to prepare quick, inexpensive meals, in addition to how to store and freeze these food items. If you want healthy, then buy healthy food, your choice. The preparation is simple and quick as Jordan explains.

A way we cook corn in the south is put it in the microwave, cook for 4 minutes per ear.

viclloyd1 says:

Where is the chicken, beef and cheese you talk about for the 200$. Spent?

evage99 says:

This is the most realistic "celebrity" grocery-shopping video I've ever seen. Thanks for showing off your Great Value canned goods and the discounted bread, it gets very tiresome seeing "I only paid $4.99 for this loaf of organic whole-wheat non-GMO brand-name bread!" when I'm trying to figure out how we can stretch $50 of grocery money over the next week… xD

Stephanie Schneider says:

I love this. When do u thaw things. Pbj, salsa… ect how to plan ahead..

Tashalouise Hopkin says:

Wish I had a freezer big enough

SamanthaZubor says:

ugh! I'm cringing at the toxic food choices. You can shop on a budget without giving your kids cancer causing neurotoxic ingredients, sugars, and gmo carbs. Yuck yuck yuck! I feel bad for your kids. 🙁 How about a bag of baby carrots and string cheese for $1 a piece instead of corn syrup pakaged fruit/applesauce. How about $5 for a bag of flour and make your own bread instead of $2 a loaf for 5 loaves of processed white bread. You should add "medical expenses" to your budget. Not to be mean, but you should never recommend these food choices to your viewers who take your advice to heart and don't know any better.

Meghan Cecelia says:

I have to thank you. I had taco left overs that I was going to throw out. Instead of trashing them, I made breakfast burritos and froze the left over meat for a future meal. I would have never done this without watching your videos. My husband was so proud of me!!!

Meghan Cecelia says:

This is amazing. I eat frozen meals 24/7 but am so weird about prepping and freezing my own foods even though its probably so much healthier! Thanks for sharing these ideas with us!

MRenee' KennysQueen says:

You can also hide zucchini in chocolate cake. It makes the cake moist and you wouldn’t know by the taste that there’s zucchini in it.

LeAnn C says:

How do you have time to meal prep all the food?! Maybe you could do a video about time management.

andrea oof says:

You are a pro

Grace Slikker says:

haha someone count how many times the word “freeze” is said!

i love your videos you’re such an inspiration
