The launch of Popeyes’ chicken sandwich in the summer of 2019 was an inflection point for the fast-food company. After a lighthearted Twitter feud with rival chicken chains, Popeyes’ chicken sandwich became an overnight success and kicked-off what industry analysts call the “chicken sandwich wars”. But can a simple chicken sandwich save a company that once filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection?

I waited until the Popeyes chicken sandwich frenzy was over and was able to finally try it thanks to a T•mobile Tuesday's promotion. While it was a good chicken sandwich, it wasn't the best. I think I've only purchased it once since.

Notice He keeps saying "the perception of healthiness" pertaining to chicken. And he's right. Today, due to intensive farming, Most US Farmed Chicken by the likes of the major suppliers such as Tyson is anything but healthy. Contrary to popular belief, Chicken is now THE MOST unhealthy source of protein. As its not a Protein rich food source but rather a Fat rich food source… In the past many decades ago It use to be true that Chicken aka white meat was a better source of safe protein. But today. High demands for chicken has led to intensified faming practices resulting in the 30day broiler bird. A bird which is harvested in 30days or less. Far less time than a chickens natural growth cycle. This is achieved by intensive feeding , Growth hormones, steroids, fat rich feed. Tons of antibiotics to keep the birds from getting sick and dieing and so much more. And these birds do not eat a grain of grass, no natural feed and they dont excersize at all, they grow in terrible hot conditions and all they do is grow eat and poop. If you did the same what would you look like? crazy far right? EXACTLY.. so what do you think the meat of such birds truly consist of.. muscle fiber or fat? RIGHT!! FAT. Breast. FAT LEGS FAT Wings FAT.. all saturated FAT, not lean at all. Thats the truth about todays chicken, contrary to the idea that these birds are being raised in large fields of grassy plains. Now.. ironically such a thing is true for some asian farms, but not in the US. Not by the major brands. and it also goes for ORANICALLY sold chicken. ITS A LIE.. The only true organic chicken sold. are those sold by small farms. Never by major brands. because the cost would be too high losses in profits too great. Dont take my word for it… https://youtu.be/pX5cQm-4kUA?t=483

Tyler Johnson says:

The first time I went there was a disaster. There was genuinely no in there which was concerning. The workers were visibly upset that they had to do their jobs. After paying an exorbitant amount for my food I waited for over 10 minutes. Only one in the building and I’m waiting that long. (I wouldn’t have cared As much if I wasn’t on my lunch break)
I was expecting that the food would be fresh but nope. It was cold. Even if it wasn’t cold I don’t think it would have tasted any better. I left the remaining 95% of food on the table and walked out. Knowing those employees It wouldn’t surprise me if the food is still there to this day. It will be a while before I go back to one of those. At this point I wouldn’t care if they went out of business tomorrow.
