18 Year old Kian Martin grew up in Canggu, so he knows a thing or two about surfing in crowded lineups. Getting up for the dawny doesn't always guarantee empty waves, so sometimes he just waits for the onshore to blow in and create some space.
Kian knows how to speak Indonesian, but with his blonde hair and white skin is often assumed to be a tourist, inadvertently undercover when it comes to conversation. He gets a kick out of the reaction when he replies in Indonesian to someone when they least expect it, especially if they've been trash talking.

Really appreciate your following the local social distancing mandates and not showing secret sessions, even though we both know they are going down, and in some pretty perfect waves too. Rightly or wrongly, as our hosts, the Balinese ban on surfing should be respected, their island, their culture, and their society. And it seems that the limitations you are facing have actually allowed you to broaden your repertoire. This is becoming a truly stellar site by any metric.
