In this video I will show you how to calculate toilet paper price points. The best price for toilet paper can be difficult to determine because of plies. To be able to know how to calculate a good price for toilet paper you really have to do a good toilet paper test. Toilet paper prices differ for several reasons. So determining the cost of toilet paper for brands like Scott should be done by looking at the sq foot per roll. In my opinion the best toilet paper is Charmin Ultra Soft.
Which is the best bang for the buck?
I am not sure if you already have done a price point video on kitchen tissue rolls as well? if you have can you send me the link. if not can you please do a video on that as well. much appreciate all the info you provide.
LOL I was born in a third world country where we wiped out asses with newspapers. It's not brain surgery. Get the cheapest one. What you should have is plenty of baby wipes (or soap and water) whenever you do #2, so you don't leave skid marks on your underwear, which btw, toilet paper alone won't fix. I know this is a very sexy comment, Ur welcome. 🙂
I have been trying to look these thing up and it is hard to find infomation these things. please do a video on " how much should we pay " on stuff.
price pre roll of 2 ply of toilet paper range
hamburger meat pre pound
chicken
milk
folger, maxwell house
trash bags pre bag
viva paper towels etc
how to buy meat and other things etc in bulk
* more diy cheap made stuff
I like your method. I've been using that Scott 1000 sheets per roll. It lasts for a long time and that's a money saver.
Check out this video, "Laugh My Butt Off." (get it? ;))
Charmin is my favorite too. I did buy Northern on sale at Target when it was buy 3 get $5 a couple of weeks ago. Having space for 3 pks (30 rolls per pk) of Northern is a hassle for buying in bulk. Since couponing I've decided I don't like Cottonelle compared to Charmin. However my mom likes the sales on Cottenelle at Walgreens. So everyone has a like and dis like when it comes to brands.
I'm trying to compare the Charmin Ultra Soft I bought at Costco with what's available on Amazon Subscribe & Save. First of all, Amazon doesn't list any of the pertinent details. I have to zoom in on the package images to get the info. Second, this Costco package lists the square YARDS and everything else is in feet. How am I supposed to compare different products?
For going with the sq ft method with the 2 or 3 ply should we just multiply it by ply? Like the 1.76 would be 3.52? Would that be a good way? I usually get it around that price or less anyways.
After I started couponing for some time. I also tried all the different brands of toilet paper. Charmin ultra soft is definitely my favorite. But if I need tp or a good deal comes along I'll get Angel soft.
Super informative tips! This aids me greatly! Most times I was comparing each roll to be a .25cents and multiplying per total pkg quantity to get the 'ideal' selling price. I hadn't taking into consideration the various plies or mega-packs etc. Should we know the basis as you have suggested-will lessen the calculation overload! Lol
i think when you go beyond 1 ply what you are really paying for is "brand". If you multiply sqft of 1 ply TP time 2 (for 2ply) or 3(for 3ply) we are still most times paying 2 to 4 times that calculation [depending] on which brand you buy. Brand and quality is the true calculation. In other words SCOTT equals EXPENSIVE BUTT WIPER lol
I usually like watching your videos.. but I dont think you really told us "how" to calculate.. oh well.. the search goes on…
Ha,ha scotts is the way to go….
the real question is direction of roll, over or under… lol
sorry — Charmin for some reason i keep adding an e at the end.
