You can use coupons on free items, Sal. You must enter your phone number at the end after the cashier scans the coupons. It gives overage unlike other drug stores
I always sign in to my account so I know which account has the BC Challenge. Leaving the tab open means you must remember which number you are looking at unless you could easily mistake it
