I was at a used goods store when I came across a standing desk that seemed tilted to one side. I fired it up and got "e08" on the display. This was the first video to show up when I googled the error.

This video solved the e08 error message/issue on my electric, dual motor, standing desk which is a different model than what is shown here.

if anyone's having sink in issue, try putting controller on top of desk (and reset it like in the video) and press up/down (reason behind this is controller box has sensor/collision detection and it needs to match motor movement.)
