Here is the online list. Keep in mind it is not a complete list, nor is it accurate- but it’s a start. My Maryland Amish store isn’t on there and one of my favorite NC stores isn’t on there. Hi Amanda, I too live in western NC…(Charlotte). I've been looking for discount stores. I do have one that I know about. 2nd Harvest. It's been a while since I've been there because they have an iffy schedule, but it is there.
Our regular stores here just throw their stuff away. I actually was angry because they do that. No donations to the food banks either.
Does anyone know any in or near the NYC/New Jersey area? I haven't had any luck. 🙁
Ocean State Job Lot is a popular New England (and now NY, NJ, PA) discount/closeout store and while it isn't specifically a grocery store it has lots of good food items – they're great for spices anything Bob's Red Mill and lots of other non-perishables.
Yes, the discount grocery stores I shop here are run by the Amish. One is a really good one, but they all offer good items at great prices.

http://www.eshsdiscountgroceries.com/ is in Colorado. The Loveland location is very nice … looks like a regular grocery store. My sister buys whole chickens seasoned with lemon pepper by the case.. ends up about .33 a lb. Only down fall they are frozen. I assume the are sold to stores for the deli's rotisserie. She thaws them out a bit to separate and cooks them in the crockpot.
I have one Amish 15 minutes from me, then another in a bigger city that we go to the dr at that is a mom and pop place. I go every couple of months!
I love our amish store-it's called Bent and Dent. And it is in the country back roads! Mine is about 1/2 hour from me and I go about once a month and spend a couple hundred stocking up. 😃
