I’m going to talk a little bit about how to follow sale cycles. And, really, this is the secret to maximizing the most possible savings you can get at the grocery store.

The thing is, is that when we generally go to the grocery store we think about what we need in that moment, and we make that purchase. But, if you can be aware of what’s on sale and the cycle that it goes through, you’re going to ultimately save more.

Because you can stock up on those items over time, and make sure that you’re saving as much as 20 to 50 percent off of a price that you might get at a different time.

So, here’s the trick. Most everything in the grocery store follows about a six week sale cycle. And, if you do this, you can basically, those most common purchases that you make, as you go through the grocery store, write down what price they are.

You’ll start to see quickly that they reduce a little bit, a little bit, a little bit in each week. And then, they’ll go back up. Each product might be on a different cycle. But, they’re going to generally follow that same cycle.

This is something that a lot of us see, right? We’ll be going grocery shopping and suddenly see a huge sale on a can of green beans. Or on toilet paper. This is just part of that cycle. And, my bet is, is that six-ish weeks from that point in time, you’re going to see a similar sale.

So, if you can keep track of this, you can ultimately capitalize on those prices. Add a coupon or two and really see significant savings.

So, that’s just a quick tip on how to follow sale cycles at the grocery store.
