I used to not like Savingstar, but I have saved almost $50 using the app. My favorites are Mobisave and Ibotta. I like Mobisave because you don't have to have a cashout limit. You just get the money right away. I have saved around $10 with Mobisave, but I'm already able to use that cash. I'm kind of frustrated with Ibotta upgrading their cashout limit for paypal, but now I just have to save up more before I cash out.

I use the envelope method, which is similar to your ziploc bag. The only reason I have to go through them is if I add items or can't find a certain item. My last trip to target I found out my target doesn't sell an item I was looking for.
