HOW TO SHOP FOR GROCERIES 2019

I believe it is very helpful to have a plan before going into the stores to do any type of shopping. Knowing your prices and what your willing to spend is very important in not overspending. Just by using the store apps and flyer coupons you can save so much money. On top of that matching manufacturer coupons on top of that will give you the most bang for your buck. Also if your store has clearance bins look there 1st so that you can maybe find items at even lower prices like bakery items meat or produce.

I hope this has been helpful and if you want me to do a part 2
let me know in the comments. Thank you for watching.

Also, these are usually buy any ten items, mix or match, for ten dollars. Buy one or two of items you need to complete your list. Sometimes people might only have ten dollars to spend on food for the week. I quit buying Halos because they spoiled long before I could eat them all. It’s a challenge, but it can be a fun challenge. Lists, menus, and using or adding to what I have on hand are some of my tools too. I never threw anything away. One night a week, we had leftover night. Everyone had a different meal, but it used up my leftovers! 😁 Thanks for the tips!

I love thisπŸ’™πŸ’œβ€ I hope you continue to do this BC a lot of ppl really spends thousands upon thousands a year and have no savings. This can teach them how to save money and meal ideas also. Planning even 4 meals a week and doing a meatless meal for 2x a week. Crockpot aka slowcooker meals you can multitask, frozen meatballs and sauce, then the next night make meatball sub's. Broccoli & cheese soup on sale throw cut up frozen broccoli to add more texture and veg, then use leftover to make a pasta bake the next day. My kids love the canned chicken in quesadillas, add on some salsa your fresh veggies, a little shredded cheese on your tortillas, toast them up on your stove and boom quesadilla dinner done in under ten minutes. I love savingstar, ibotta and fetch rewards, this is money that adds up over the year. I also love cartwheel for target. If you can afford a freezer and have a family of 4 or more I recommend having one so you can store extra meat, premade frozen meals and bread so you are not running to the market more than once a week. They are energy efficient and lifesavers. You can cook once and store 3 meals. Soups chili's, bakes. I freeze them in ziplocs (yes I do wash & reuse my bags) flat in freezer then when solid they stand up like a file and leave lots of room for my meats. I wrap my bread in another bag and rotate, same for aldi English muffins, hotdog & hamburger buns and aldis Hawaiin rolls. Mark with a sharpie and and done. I do not have freezer burn nor do they taste off after frozen. When thawing take out of bag to prevent moisture. I use a small sheet of paper towel the bottom of breadbag and put back in. Loaf of bread last 2 days in this house between lunches. Make your kids their own lunchables, use containers from dollar store and aldi. FYI gravy in box at dollar tree makes 3 cups for a buck, compared to small jar at store, I buy family size Mac n cheese at dollar tree which is double than store or name brand, also the Louisiana brand hot sauce and Supreme tradition wing, marinade, BBQ sauce 17 oz and I buy 3 at a time from dollar tree & my kids love it.

This was a great tutorial, Amy! I was happy to see that I did/agreed with pretty much everything you said. I also learned a few things I hadn't realized – like there is always a meat on sale every week! Hoping you are feeling better today!

Great video, this is the way Ive been doing my shopping since theres been 2 more mouths to feed in my family. The 10 for 10 ,the only time I will buy all 10 is if we use lot of that item or buy the extra for when my son is coming to visit and I know he uses the item. We stopped buying the bottled water for the same reason.
