The CVS 98% Rule allows you to earn ExtraBucks on spend-based promotions without hitting the exact required amount. Instead, you only need to spend 98% of the threshold for the rewards to trigger.
How It Works:
If a deal says "Spend $20, Get $5 ExtraBucks", you don’t actually have to spend $20.
You only need to spend 98% of $20, which is $19.60.
If your subtotal (before tax) is at least $19.60, the ExtraBucks should still print.
98% Threshold Breakdown for Common Deals:
Spend $10, Get ExtraBucks → Need to spend $9.80
Spend $15, Get ExtraBucks → Need to spend $14.70
Spend $20, Get ExtraBucks → Need to spend $19.60
Spend $30, Get ExtraBucks → Need to spend $29.40
