I bought a ton of clothes during Black Friday sale. It didn’t help that I had a girl, so my bank had a huge hole in there lol. My mistake was not buying enough bodysuits when my daughter was born because she came out during winter and it was super cold and rainy. I recommend buying clothes base on the season and your sons age at the time. I also buy clothes one size up only. Like for example she’s currently in size 3 months. I’ll shop for 6 months clothes, I have a few in bigger sizes but not much (if I really really like it). Only because new clothes comes out and maybe nicer design, style etc and who knows if she’ll outgrow it fast. I don’t want to have too many of one size. I bought a ton of swaddle blankets and only used them for a month and a half, my daughter got frustrated when she couldn’t move. I still have a bunch that never been used 😑 I recommend getting the swaddleme. You don’t need a bunch. Maybe 4? It’s a life saver! You can buy them at target. I am a FTM too. So I’m just letting you know what I’ve learned so far. And what helped me. Ohh and get a ton of burp cloth. You’ll go through those like crazy. Carters brand is my favorite burp cloth.

After baby starts rolling, I would recommend to stop swaddling for safety. 🙂

My baby girl didnt even like to be swaddled lol we only wrapped her up to keep her warm

Carters bottoms tend to run small. You may find yourself needing bigger bottoms than tops especially in bottoms that have little to no stretch. Keep the larger items, like others said, at your baby shower people will load you up on NB-3 months

Hold on to the bigger sizes. When you have your shower you will get clothes and you definitely will get the smaller sizes like NB-6months esp but after that not so much and you will be in the bigger sizes before you know it.
Girl clothes are adorable and way more fun to pick out. Imo.
Congratulations on your new baby and I hope he is 5-6 pounds at birth and gets super chubs afterwards!
