For my Wal-Mart here in Tennessee if the coupon doesn't scan they won't accept it. It doesn't matter if it's a regular newspaper or Ipq. We are also not allowed to use SCO either if we have coupons. But for another store that allows overage is Dollar General Store but they won't give money back, you have to have Merchandise that covers the overage. But on Saturdays they offer a $5/$25 coupon that you can stack with dq's or newspaper q's and some Dollar General Store will accept Ipq's (unfortunately in my area they do not allow the Ipq's due to the misuse of coupons around here) that can allow you to have great hauls on household products at an excellent price. If you have a Dollar General Store nearby by and you haven't shopped there I would definitely give them a try, you can also get some Ibotta stuff there also at a great price when combined with the $5/$25. But you need to set up an account at Dollar General website for their dq's and you can set up multiple accounts if you have extra phone numbers and emails that are valid. But you can only use one account at a time, but different transactions you can use another account to get the discounts again. If that made sense. I hate using coupons at my Walmart. The manager now check every single coupons and verify it first to see if it’s fraud or not before the cashier can scan it.

Hi there I just wanted to touch base with you again. I did wanna let you know that the coupon I had with me was printed from coupons.com, the expiration date was valid, it was completely intact and the barcode scanned just fine. It even show the correct amount on the screen as discounted for my coupon. The manager on duty voided the whole transaction and re-rang it after denying my Internet coupons per their “policy”. (. I even pulled up the Internet copy of the Walmart corporate policy as of that date while I was there in the store and showed it to the managers that were hassling me.)I did not have a chance to call corporate today but I did try to solve it again at the local level with this store by calling and talking to another manager, I spoke to three people altogether and all of them told me that this is a new policy for their store. I don’t know if possibly what I’m understanding is that Walmart has given them the option to make their own policy for each store or if they were just talking and telling me what they wanted me to believe. I will follow up with Walmart corporate tomorrow and let you know what I found out. Thank you so much for all your due diligence in trying to help!

One of my Walmart’s has very struck coupon policies. They absolutely do not allow overage. I called corporate and the told me it’s up to each individual store. They can refuse any coupon at any time for any reason. Completely up to manager at each store. 😔 Makes it even harder when everyone gets a different answer even from corporate. The other two stores in my area are great!!
