I went to a local supermarket/grocery store and i think I’m giving up on the local stores until i can find somewhere better!!
When i tell you all i was DIGUSTED!! When i tried to tell the employee they just seemed like it didn’t matter ๐Ÿ˜‘!! This is becoming more of a Normal thing to do it seems!! Long as there is something on the shelves, GOOD OR BAD!! That is all that matter to them!!!

PREPARE AND STAY PREPARED!! WHILE SHOPPING PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING YOU SHOP FOR!!!

Isnt mold on the bread somehow illegal?

Sailing Hexe says:

That chicken and turkey is food poisoning waiting to happen.
I am super picky when it comes to chicken and pork.
I don't think i could get hungry enough to risk that. And i've been pretty hungry before.

So interesting seeing food Iโ€™ve never seen from different parts of the country. You can grow your own celery from what you buy in the store. Chop off & leave an inch or so on bottom core, put in water, it will sprout. As soon as I buy green onions I put them in small jar of water in kitchen – keeps them fresh & they will continue to grow roots & sprout. Change water on celery & onions every two dates. After both sprout enough, you can plant in soil. Actually you can grow more veggies like this, only tried these two. Take care & thanks for sharing.

Yeh Sister you are right. Those Neighborhood Stores are Over-Priced most of the Time and some are scandalous when it comes to the meat that they should be removing from the Freezers. Good Report though. Peace and Power โšกโšกโšก#LOVE is your Lite

L's Channel says:

Wow…the price differences are crazy. In eastern NC…onions are never 66 cents per pound. Mangoes are 89 cents to $1. Pineapples are maybe $2.

Sandra Lewis says:

Celery is easy to grow indoors. You might even have some celery seeds in your spices that will sprout. I buy bulk celery seeds so I can grow what I need. Also, no need to wait for big stalks. I use the small stalks of my plants and the leaves, too.

Latrell Gibson says:

It was very interesting. Thanks for reminding me to keep my basket in shape in case I need to walk far.

Tonette says:

Chicken necks are VERY flavorful, turkey necks even more so. I heard that chicken feet make very nice soup, but I have not tried it.
Those packages that you said looked frozen then thawed said "fowl", no Chicken. I wonder what else they could
be?
Walmart goes into a town, undercuts until they run small stores out of business and then they raise their prices when the competition is gone, but even so, Walmart can buy in such volume and make such deals that they can get iot cheaper and still make a profit. The independent stores can't get decent prices and sometimes actually but full retail from Walmart or other chains and then raise the prices to make any profit at all, though sometimes that literally double, (or more), the prices.

Very cool store, meat section aside. I love shopping cultural stores like this for rice and noodles. The spice and sauce selection is typically above average in these stores. Plus I get to meet new people and get some ideas for new recipes. Once in a while you can score on some can foods and some 3 for one deals on boxed easy stuff.
