They made too much money on what worked for them and now they are screwing people thinking they are too big to go bust as their greed rises in direct proportion to the bean counters stupidity.
I looked this up because i noticed that only the lights are the only free ones now. Used to get meters, tarps, magnetic trays, power strips, screwdrivers, and even bungee cords… good vid. Thanks

I think they are doing limited day free items. I have a free batteries coupon for 3days only in August. It was not in a mailer. In store at the cash register.
I'm still getting FREE item coupons, for different items. Although the puck light has been sent out numerous times and usually only for just a few days. Perhaps HB just got a killer deal on hundreds of thousands of them and are using it as a teaser to get you in more often? I've not seen the $1 coupons.
Vista print used to do free stuff with orders, note pads etc. long gone was fun though.
I wonder if the trade war with China has anything to do with it. It may no longer be economic to have the free items, and with the puck lights they must have tons of overstock or they're cheap enough to produce to give away. I'm not sure but I don't like it either.
Maybe because of the tariffs on Chinese goods they are eliminating most of the free stuff.
The only problem is the last 3 times no pick lights, did pick up a moving blanket. Part of shopping at HF was always getting something for free.
I see people trying to sell these freebies on let go. Many estate and garage sales also have multiple HF freebies for sale.
They're mad cuz everyone is buying Tacklife instead of Chicago Electric.
They are slowly moving away from what made them big. As companies grow they get greedier. No news here.

Here's the other scam that's going on… went to HF early in the day for the 25% 4th of July sale… there were only 3 cartons of Blue Puck lights in the store – and they were down to only 6 lights left… Did they start the day with 3 full cartons? I wonder… If they run out.. too bad – no more free giveaway items today for you Joe….

Maybe one of the Democratic candidates could start running on getting more free item coupons from Harbor Freight for Americans! It'd be far more worthwhile and have far more substance to it than all the other "free" stuff the Dems are pushing…at least the HF items are actually free.
