The KingKong ET123 isn’t the fastest 3 inch racer, but it might be the safest. It is an outstanding option if you are flying in tight spaces. Instead of smashing your blades and constantly replacing them you just bounce off and keep going. If you are flying inside I would stick with the ET100, or if you are getting it for playground flying I would get the ET115. But if you want to be outside in big spaces but want to zoom as close as you can to something and not worry about hitting it the ET125 is a great choice.

Just got mine yesterday, I'm new to betaflight, but Joshua bardwell vids got me thru it. Quick question, my extra batteries are still in China, so in the meantime , I tried some nanotech 2S 950mah 25-50C batts. They are 10 grams heavier than stock, but it still flies fine, and in getting about 4min flight time. Do you see any issues with using a slightly heavier batt with slightly less C rating? Btw, I love watching vids when parents let their kids fly. I have 2 boys that love the sport but I'm the same way you are. Stressed! Thanks , good review.
Your son is a great flyer. My kids aren`t anyway near his skill level. This one must be ideal for youngsters who wants to learn the art of drones.
