Hi Jen, I went to Office depot/OfficeMax today. I did almost the same thing you did accept I bought 3 papermate pens, sharpies and Ticconderoga pencils. I used 3 – $.75 coupons and one $1.00. I spent $8.93. I thought I was total was high so I went home added everything up. I should have paid $3.69 plus tax. I called the store and talked to manager. He told me that since I used the coupons it reduced my total less than $5.00, so I really didn't get the penny. I told him that didn't make sense to me because what was the need of couponing if my out of pocket would high. He said you cannot combine coupons with the promotion and I was using too many coupons. I told him I only used 4. He said are allowed to use one coupon per transaction. That defeats the purpose of using coupons. He said I could return items, but I told him no I will not shop that store again. He said he was sorry to hear that I wouldn't shop there and I should not stop using coupons. If you are only taking one what's need. I told him thank you and have a good evening. I wonder if any other Office depot are like this.

Will be going again this week. You can't pass up penny deals and their rewards on items is great. Always on my app the next day. Just keep rolling them.
