When teaching my coupon classes, I constantly hear that you can't find organic coupons or that all coupons are for processed items and you can't save money on organic or healthy items. I would love to disspell this myth by giving you some good resources and ideas for saving on organic/natural/healthy items. As our society moves more towards this type of eating, I do think we'll start seeing more of these in the inserts but for now, here are some tips on how to find them now.
Watch for printable organic coupons online, they do show up now and then and Grocery Coupon Network will have them when they are available! There is a great Kashi printable coupon available for $1/1 Kashi GoLean Item. Whole Foods and Target both have store coupons for Kashi so you could score a box of Kashi GoLean Crunch for as low as $1.25 each!
Local Produce Markets, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's- Local produce markets have some great deals on fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies with no need for a coupon. Whole Foods offers store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer's coupons for great savings- sometimes even FREE items! Trader Joe's offers organic/healthier items at a reasonable cost if you can't find another store where you can use coupons.
Buy seasonally- Many items are cheaper when they are in season, especially produce. When something is widely available (think apples in fall), you will notice that the price generally goes down if you live in a competitive market.
Sign up for organic newsletters. There are several organic brands I use regularly, including Barbara's Cereal, Cascadian Farms, Seventh Generation, Organic Valley, Earth's Best and more. They don't always have coupons but if you sign up, you will get notified when they do!
Order healthy/natural/organic items online. I often get Horizon Organic Milk Boxes from amazon.com or Seventh Generation Baby wipes from vitacost.com (new members save $10 off your first order!). They also sell tons of great organic brands like Arrowhead Mills, Nature's Path, Burt's Bees and more.
Request Samples- Many times, samples come with high-value coupons so if you request a sample, you might get one to use on future purchases! I just got a sample of Seventh Generation Baby Wipes (from facebook) and it came with a $1.50/1 coupon. Organic samples don't show up quite as frequently but they do come around now and then.
Recyclebank has great coupons available for printing after you earn points through surveys, quizzes, etc. It's an eco-friendly site trying to promote better treatment of the earth AND they have lots of organic coupons (Kashi, Honest Tea, Whole Foods, Treasure Island, etc.). Points are very easy to earn and the coupons are high-dollar (I regularly pick up a $2/1 Kashi product making it nearly free and definitely free if there's any Kashi store coupons floating around).

I do apperciate the info you are sharing. Yesterday instead of watching the Super Bowl I decided to look at a two documentaries Food Inc. and Fat, Sick and nearly Dead.
