Then at the end of the day they can quite easily be sued for discrimination. I really hope we donโt forget what these companies have been doing when we get an actual leader in the White House
I have a business account I hardly ever use. So, they were holding my money $600 that was received by my family until it cleared after 21 days because it was above limits or some BS.
Anyways, I chose to refund the money by bank account back to the source, as soon as it was processing the locked funds were released, so I quickly transferred that to my account and allowed the direct debit refund to fail, and it did.
Poor PayPal didn't see me getting around that one did they ๐
So moral of this story is, even though PayPal told me the funds were locked for 21 days, this was the simplest way to hack the system.
Last time I checked if there was a "policy" then it should be public so basically it looks like PayPal was allowed to steal $2,500 because they "deemed something you violated their policy" I guess I am trying to understand it after my dad had his PayPal account hacked by an employee of PayPal money stolen from him and even though that person was caught and had to pay my dad back PayPal Banned my dad from ever having a PayPal account ever again
Wait… What? Intolerance to what? Like lactose intolerance? Do they monitor me for intolerances that have no definitions or ideas that I had them, do they get to do that randomly and repeatedly? And did I unknowingly agree to have my phone tapped too? I thought these kinds of business practices were deemed illegal? I'm rethinking PayPal now. Too bad I was enjoying the convenience.
yep, I removed my checking account and debit card as soon as I heard about this. if they charge my credit card I will just dispute it. get fucked paypal.
Yeah, thankfully i live in the EU. They would rip Paypal a new one….
Thatโs why stop using paypal. That company is worse than alternatives in every possible way. Canโt grasp why we still allow it to exist
I don't think I can talk to customer service….Holy Shit!
That's not legal at all๐๐๐
Yeah, it's a good idea to read those terms. It's common knowledge.
So can the bank. Dodd-Frank 2010
Always remember!
PayPal, CashApp, and Venmo and not FDIC insured and do not have to follow many of the same laws traditional banks do
Once this hit i closed my account. Told them they dont get this option from me.
Sounds like paypal is making an exit scam but legally.
This real this happened to me everyday I had $92 taken out of my account tell it went -$1000 and my bank couldnโt do anything
Then at the end of the day they can quite easily be sued for discrimination. I really hope we donโt forget what these companies have been doing when we get an actual leader in the White House
Wow, thank you for that piece of information.
Who uses PayPal as a bank account count ๐
So they get away with stealing money just because they put it in the policy that they can

PayPal gave zero ducks when I was scammed even though they could have reversed the transfer. Never again
This sounds like a lawsuit…
Closed my account
Hope I didn't already agree to whatever that was
That won't hold up in Court since there is no defined tos violation
yep, I removed my checking account and debit card as soon as I heard about this. if they charge my credit card I will just dispute it. get fucked paypal.
This is plainly an attack on PayPal.
No wonder why PayPal stock is in a free fall!
If you now participate in PayPal, you are an idiot. I got out about a year ago… I guess that does not prove I'm NOT an idiot…….
Im deleting my account
