Another DG said nastily, "we don't have a Clearance aisle" when asked & literally did not have one!
Does anyone else's DG BLOCK their Clearance aisle with those huge stocking carts so that you cant get through, then station an employee there, who is "stocking" and says "can I help you find something " to discourage you from searching And make you feel like if you go down that aisle, you are in their way or that you shouldn't be there (staring at you)?

So when i am checking out today the kid ringing me up said "how do u find all these penny items" he said i get ppl coming in here all the time asking me where to find penny items or where do we keep the penny items"….REALLY….UGHHH….i swear some ppl just dont get it….smh
Miss Christa I just had THE WORST DOLLAR GENERAL EXPERIENCE EVER I was doing 2 transactions 2 different deals and out of all of it 2 digitals came off none of my 5/25 came off not digital or paper and the person "in charge" not a manager cus I asked she told me they were told by corporate they can't do anything about digitals that don't come off!!!!! THEY ARE THEIR STORES COUPONS!!!!!!! I finally asked for the corporate phone number and guess what they said"WE DONT KNOW IT" So I waited for them to FIND IT!!!!!!I started to shake I was so outraged so I told them void the second transaction I took the stuff from the first transaction that I still paid for and left!!!!!

Christa! Help! I tried to use my paper $5 off $25 with my digital $5 off $20 Gain, and it wouldn't work. The cashier even tried $30 in Gain, still only one $5 came off. Could it be because she scanned to paper coupon and I typed my number in before she hit total? Should I let her hit total, then scan $5/$25, then digitals???

I have never had the balls to ask the cashiers at DG this (even though they openly talk about penny items with me) BUT do the cashiers or managers actually get in trouble if they sell penny items? Or does the store get a bonus or something like that if they have no penny items sold?
