Rebates are a fantastic way to save even more on items that you purchase. They can be used in tandem with coupons to really stretch your dollar or attain greater savings than with coupons alone. You can always find new rebates in Grocery Coupon Networks match-ups or posts if it’s a really great one!

You can find rebates in the inserts, online and at stores. There are many kinds of rebates so make sure you read the fine print. It may not be worthwhile to use a coupon with a rebate because you may still get the price you paid. It depends on how your receipt shows your purchase price and what the rebate requires. If you need to spend a certain amount to get a rebate, for example the spend $10 Colgate-Palmolive rebate (and get back $5), you can stretch your dollar by using coupons. In this case, you might get five items for $10 instead of four if you use your coupons. Think about how your coupons work with the rebate and decide what is your best option.

Try it free rebates are rebates that are offered by brands to try their product free. These are often on the internet but can sometimes be found in the inserts as well. Some stores, like Staples, Best Buy and Office Max have a rebate center where you can see all the rebate deals in-store and then you just fill them out online and get a check in the mail. Super easy!

Example: Brita Water Filter Pitcher Filter $10, I used a $5 coupon and got a $10 rebate = $5 moneymaker rebate!
*This doesn’t always happen with rebates but it’s fantasic when it does. Many times the amount is changed to your purchase price but you don’t always know how the rebate is going to work or how your receipt is going to print. If you know you will get the full amount back anyways, you may choose to save your coupon for another purchase.

I really appreciate this video. I've always been timid about rebates but now, thanks to this video, I think I'm ready to give rebates a try. 🙂
