Samsung to offer 50% discount on Galaxy S8 or Note 8 for Note 7 owners exchanging device to…
삼성, 갤노트7 추가 보상안 발표…갤S8•갤노트8 할인
Samsung is now offering its Note 7 owners in Korea the chance to upgrade their phone to a Note 8 for half the price when the as-yet-unannounced handset becomes available next year.
The embattled tech giant announced the deal as part of an ongoing exchange program for the Note 7 in home turf.

Samsung has announced additional compensation for Galaxy Note 7 owners in Korea.
For those who choose to exchange their Note for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge,... Samsung will offer a 50-percent discount next year if they want to upgrade to an S-8 or Note 8.
Korean smartphone users usually pay monthly installments for 24-months when they buy a new device,... but these customers will be exempt from installments for 12 months if they decide to take one of the flagship models.
So consumers getting Galaxy S8 next March will have to pay installments for just six more months at that point... and those getting a Note 8 next August won't have to pay any additional installments.
The new plan also applies to those who've already exchanged their phones for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge.
That exchange option is available until the end of next month, meaning consumers will soon have to decide whether or not to jump to those models.
Samsung added that, when it comes to repairing devices, Note 7 owners will get priority... along with a 50-percent discount.
The previous set of measures remain in place.
That is, Note 7 owners can get a full refund,... or exchange their device to other Samsung models -- such as Galaxy S7, S7 Edge or the Note 5.
People who choose a Samsung device will be provided with gift cards, worth around 25 U.S. dollars, and a voucher for 60 dollars toward their phone bill.
A move to hold on to its loyal consumers,... Samsung is expected to announce similar measures overseas as well.

I had toexchange my note 7 last year for the s7 edge i hope this discount still works because im exchanging my s7 edge to the note 8 i dont like the gs7 edge
watching this again this time on my s8 plus till the note 8 comes out
I am SO disappointed that I had to give my Note 7 back when it wasn't even heating up!
I now have the iPhone 7+. I wonder if they would ever give me a chance to come back for the Note 8 with some kind of discount? This ordeal has cost me$. 🙁
thats what I'm waiting for!
hope samsung keep the promise
what a crock. they made me exchange to and s7 thats not fair at all. if they want to be fairt they should give a 50 percent discount to everyone who has evidence that they bought a note 7 even if they were forced to exchange it twice like i did
randi kha chal raha discount
I like that there trying to accommodate people. I don't like that I had to switch to the s7 because it's not what I spent my money on. I think people that switch from the note 7 to the s7 should have a better deal. like a switch from the s7 to the note 8 with no change. + we been paying on the phone and once we switch it starts over that's not right.
I wish it would be a 50% off for a month for us consumers when it's launching. 😌
What about the people that already traded in the Note 7 because of the crippling updates?
seriously? By now, nobody has a Note 7 because of the crippling updates.
WHY JUST KOREA??? PEOPLE HERE IN AMERICA GOT SCREWED TOO!!!
really..!!!!!
I justwant to WOWww 😘😘😘
that's bullshit
Nice one…
Really amazing one.
I think everyone should get 50% off on note 8 at least first month after it comes out.
Apple master race
good looking
50% of $2000? Or the note 8 got the shittiest cheap qualities made…..nod nod
can't wait thank you Samsung note 8
why only in south korea? what about us in other countries? so unfair…
