DO NOT BUY FROM GROUPON!!! They are scam artists, hucksters and fraudsters. I purchased a phone from them nearly a month ago. They still have my money – over $300 – but have yet to provide me with my phone. I've tried many times to resolve this responsibly and peacefully through Groupon's customer service, but all they've done is waste me time and give me the run-around. I've asked for the contact information for their Office of General Counsel but the customer service people pretend not to know what I am talking about. Groupon thinks it is slick. They told me they could refund my money and I could order the phone again, but they know that they have raised the price of this phone by $90. This is pure fraud! Every time I speak to customer service – that is – if I can even get through to them – they tell me that they will try to figure out what happened. I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENED, I JUST WANT MY PHONE!!! Why should I have to wait for them to conduct some internal investigation of their own incompetence before I receive the item that I paid for? My next step is to notify the Consumer Fraud Bureau of the NY State Attorney's office but in the mean time I am issuing this beware to potential future victims of Groupon's scams. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY or there is a very good chance that you will pay for your purchase both with your hard earned money and with dozens of hours of frustration and aggravation trying to actually obtain the item that you paid for.

We're just getting started in Southern VA, but check out Hometown Freebies (Google it). We put the business first by only charging the owner a small flat rate instead of a percentage (like other daily deal sites). We also allow consumers to "grab" the deal without purchasing. Help support us (and small businesses) by signing up on our site. We absolutely do not sell or share subscriber information. Thanks.
