How do you find a "No Frills" grocery store? I usually go to Aldi for holiday meals
Presliced turkey parts cheaper for one irvteo
Last year Ibotta did a Thanksgiving dinner offer. I am hoping that they will do it again.
Why don't you just plant some corn and then serve that up.
6:00 another good piece of advice, experimentation is how you find great new tricks for good cooking. Try something, anything! You'd be surprised by what works. Keep in mind though, it is mad science of a sort, and they won't all be winners. Don't let that stop you from experimenting.
3:12 I have a tip for turkey! Get the store brand Turkey at around the thanksgiving season and maybe you too can get them for 39 cents a pound! And get 2 of em! 2 is the limit per trip for me. Keep one in the freezer for Christmas and cook the other. And use the giblets! I hear some people throw them away but that's crazy talk to me, they're so good! And you can use them for so many things! too many in fact, I wish there were more! Gravy, stuffing, cooked on their own or in a stew! it's all good! You can even combine them with a box stuffing to cook inside the bird. Delicious! Also if you're feeling lazy, or even if you're not, you can add thick carrots cut lengthwise in half or potatoes cut in half or rutabaga slices to the pan halfway through for some easy veg. And it tastes great too.
That units price tip is a good one. Surest way to save money at the grocery store. Some stores even have the price per ounce marked for you so you don't even have to be any good at math, most of the time.
OMG, that meal is so starchy…buns, cheap boxed stuffing, boxed mac and cheese, 2 kinds of potatoes. Aside from the meat, the only non-starchy thing is 2 bags of salad to share out amongst 30 people.
Great ideas and options. It can be done. And complainers…it's ideas .. and one meal . You can learn from this and realize there are options…thanks coupon mom I gleaned from this
NYC My local chain store does NOT accept MANUFACTURES COUPONS, P.S. Inspiring savings BUT if EVERYONE did this, would Supermarkets CEASE to EXIST?
"It takes only 4 days to thaw in your fridge" yeah that's not very fast is it?
FORGET THE MAC N CHEESE AND GET FROZEN VEGGIES
I really dont think that is going to be a hearty meal for 30 people. 2 bags of salad, come on
