This recently happened to me last Saturday I'm in LA. My store accepted my manufacture coupons but deducted the bogo free, I did the simple deal buy a cleanser get wipes for free I ended having to pay $1 for the wipes when they should've been free I did the deal twice and so The manager said they can't adjust the value anymore, and since I'm getting a gift card back they deduct from the value of the coupons, I went and checked their policy and didn't see anything so I called corporate and they looked into it and asked if they can send me a $5 gift card for the trouble because I should've gotten the items for free and said he would make a note for that store, he also said if that happens again to call corporate while in the store so I will try again if it doesn't work I will not be couponing any longer at target

I have a question….If I was to get back an gift card from an item I bought at Target but I return the item will I get my full refund for the item back? And will I be able to keep the gift card?….If not how does that work?
One Target store I went to said they do not honor any printed off computer coupons anymore. Another Target not too far away does. So confusing.

go online and pullthe policy for the use of coupons .keepeir it in a folder and take it with you when you shop. corporate rules apply. when they. create issue's show them the policy. that's what I do

Ever since my bad experiences at Target I have come up with all kinds of stuff to do!!! Because they are WRONG! If they don't want to take coupons then they shouldn't advertise it and they shouldn't accept them! I've thought of going to the News lol trying a lawsuit!…. so on BUT I thought what if us couponers and beginner couponers ALL as many as we could made 1 day to call Target corporate and we all called to complain about these new target policies! We could even call several times and blow up their phones!!! lol BUT seriously they are cheating us by advertising gift card deals and then taking the money from the coupons (they receive the WHOLE amount back) to pay for the gift cards!!! So another words we give them money to pay for the gift cards!!! So we trade them cash for a gift card! Its ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree totally with what you are saying about us not asking them for the gift card promos!!! I went to target about 4 months ago and had problems with my coupons they said I could either use the target coupon or the cart wheel with mfr but only 1 with the mfr q!!! So I stopped shopping there the only thing I bought was at the Starbucks café; But I kept seeing so many people putting up deals and free stuff from Target I decided to try it again and went to do the Cesar dog food deal it was 8.79 each and when buy 2 get $5 GC I had a bogo coupon and 2 target $2/1 Q the TQ came off fine then my bogo mfr q only took off 6.xx I questioned the cashier then ended up a CS and they told me you have to pay and pay for the GC so I got very discouraged again!!! bc I was still paying $11.xx and was only getting a $5 GC back!!! I tried once again to do the covergirl deal they were buy 3 get $5GC and there was a TQ for $5GC when you buy $15 so first they said I could use coupons but not the Target one!!! Then I went back and picked out 3 cheaper products and they said I could only use 2 coupons…….. 🙁 Then… the register only took off 1.66 when it was a $3.00 coupon!!! NOW IM DONE WITH TARGET!!!!

I went to Target today & NOW we can't you coupons (manufacturer or target) on clearance items… WHAT? ? WHY?? UGH…
Well I better start poundin the pavement in search of work cause consumers are not gonna allow them get away with it. Frankly Im disappointed in the company if they are taking all that extra money cause it could add up to millions of dollars in profit. but im still gonna coupon there for the freebies. Im just sayin me personally dont really want any extras besides the items I purchased. There certainly should be a way for them to only get reimbursed exactly what the coupon went in for.
Target is trying to discourage couponers. IMO they are doing it because some us are really abusing the system. For example; clearing shelves. Multiple separate transactions on 4 like items/per household/per day, coupon fraud, the list goes on. I honestly think that instead of us just being against Target I really think some of us need to rethink our couponing tactics because its ruining the game for others who are playing the game fairly. Rules were meant to be followed. I can think about multiple instances in which plenty couponers that I personally follow across social media break the rules and they even give advices to others who may or may not know better, to do so as well. I feel like talking about Couponing etiquette is almost like talking about Politics and some people can become very defensive, very quickly. Some extreme couponers are really taking couponing to BEYOND extreme levels. Coupon printing websites are also cracking down because of coupons being mass acquired and sold, but thats a whole other story. As long as coupon rules are being broken and abused I only see our favourite stores unfortunately getting harder and harder to coupon at. Sadly those of us who could really use the savings to support our families are going to be the ones suffering the consequences.

I thought the marking down the coupons was only when you try to return items? If you already got the gift card from target…and try to return items they markdown your coupons to recoup the gift card if it is not presented when returning..that is what the manager at my Target said…people were double dipping returning items with no receipt and getting store credit…

The manager has the right to not except the coupons. I had allways had this issue at one particular target. it is what it is. I rather not coupon there anymore.
I don't think I will be shopping Target anymore. Too many issues.
My Target started only deducting the cartwheel after all coupons so they don't give as big of a discount. Anyone else dealing with this? Couponing at target is becoming a headache with these changes.

If you or I changed the value of a coupon, we would be committing coupon fraud. Target is committing coupon fraud. They lower the value of the coupons and then submit these coupons for full reimbursement and this is fraud.
I havent couponed at target in over a year cause they limit me to one target coupon so that messes up my deals. And they need to read every coupon and hold up the line. So I'd rather not deal with them.
Hi Toni… !! I when to coupon for my baby diapers at target yesterday I used target coupon and MF coupons and I still get gift card. I think depend on the manager.
