Had a question from Saddle Trail who asked about coupon fine print so to answer her question and to address a few more common phrases we all see when we squint really hard to read the tiny words on the old coupon 🙂

I give you my take on these phrases:
1. one coupon per purchase
2. one coupon per transaction
3. 1 coupon per shopping trip
4. 1 coupon per store visit
5. Limit 4 coupons per transaction/store visit/shopping trip
6. Can only be used along and not in combination with any other coupon or offer.

If you have other common coupon phrases please add them to the list by commenting and please give us your interpretation of what they mean – we could all use some help here 🙂 If you interpret things differently than I did please let me know as I may be doing it wrong too!

I have never seen it done there. I have not seen Walmart store coupons myself.

So, Walmart doesn't accept stacking, huh? 🙁

Sara says:

Your interpretation of "1 coupon per purchase" is correct, but I might add that some coupons require you to buy more than 1 item, such as "buy 2, get 1 free." In that case, that coupon attaches to all 3 coupons and no other manufacturer coupons may be used on those items.

Sara says:

FYI: Walgreens also allows stacking of store+Manufacturer coupons

Another phrase: "1 per person" — thekrazycouponlady interprets this to mean as long as you bring a friend or husband (or both) you can use as many as you have people! I coupon alone, so I only use 1.
