RTX 4070 12GB – https://geni.us/ELhHWM6

The RX 7600 just launched, it’s similar in performance to the RX 6650 XT while having newer technology, I would opt for the 7600 over a 6650 XT at a similar price.

The RTX 4070 is similar in performance to the RX 6800 XT, while having less VRAM, costing $100 more, and consuming less power. It does have NVidia features like DLSS and better Ray Tracing.

Bonus Thoughts:
1. The RTX 4060 Ti and RX 7600 launched this week, just a few days after we filmed this. That's why they aren't included more here.
2. The RX 7600 is a fine replacement of the RX 6600, however in terms of dollar per frame per second, it's not less expensive, given that it costs more.
3. The RTX 4060 Ti is just expensive for an 8GB GPU in 2023, the RX 6700 XT 12GB is less and while it is slower, it has more VRAM so it often will be SMOOTHER on new games.
4. The advice in this video holds up post launch of these 2 GPUs, however we look forward to the RX 7700 XT which hopefully will be a worthy replacement for the 6700 XT, just be aware it'll probably cost more!

Let me know what you think of the new cards, and what you're planning to buy, if anything, in 2023!

Adri9570 says:

Hi! I heard the 7900XT recommendation before in your videos and now that I did some math I'm seeing that the XTX should be "in theory" slightly better value if you have to build the whole PC, because even though the XTX costs ~20% to give just an extra ~15% FPS in 4K (in most current titles), the rest of the components to build the XTX setup are +0% extra cost because they are the same than the components needed for a setup with the 7900XT (unless you want less than a 1000W PSU) so the PC TOTAL COST / GPU Relative Performance is better with the XTX, thus making you pay less than extra 15% to get a PC with +15% FPS.

I personally don't see almost any practical benefit to consider that little bump over the XT but it's interesting to know that the 7900XT is capable to reach a high spot among the best 4K GPUs in cost/performance without killing the wallet more than necessary.

PD: maybe the XTX should be better value when we factor it's better Ray Tracing performance and it's higher chances to get over 60FPS in the most demanding 4K situations, making it age a bit better.

Bloopers are the best

6700xt (360$) 6750xt (380$) or 6800 ($500 trio)?

Those are the available options for me

What do you advise?

Joe Gil says:

I’ve never considered the “best mankind has to offer” perspective when it comes to my pc; specifically, the GPU. You make a great point. I might have to pull the trigger on a 4090 build for my next laptop.

Dacialastun says:

Is that an only fans mug? Nice 🙂

John Bernhardtsen says:

just ordered the rx 6600 fighter gpu, first 8gb gpu I have bought for myself! it will suit my r7 5700x pc well! next build is a 13600k for a friend of mine, where I will put the A750 gpu, I thought the A750 would render fine with the r7 5700x cpu, I didnt know it needed a cpu with build in graphics to render in premiere pro!

James Walton says:

What are the upgrade options for 1440p high detail with some future proofing , currently on a Ryzen 2600x , B450 – vega 56 . 16gb ram

Coochie Crook says:

I've seen so many videos pushing Nvidia cards and the numbers just don't add up.
It's really confusing.

none says:

I beg to differ on CP2077 being the Crysis of 2023. Put it to the test against MS flight Sim in VR @ 2160×1440 per eye on Reverb G2.

ZanarkandFFX says:

Not sure why the RT 6950 XT isnt here

Amsztel says:

11:02 You're talking about 7900 XT but you're showing performance of 7900 XTX, which is ~20% faster than 7900XT and has more VRAM.

Jose Martinez says:

Should I get a 6950 xt

Dave Froman says:

Im sorry but all these cards are still $2-300 more than that in Canada. This industry is in for a rude awakening in the next 12 months.

Joja says:

i loe how this man banchmarks at high and not ultra, give you realistic expectations

PeterPaul's says:

I went with the RTX 4080 which is not here in the video. I had a "deal", it was an open box card and I bought in my country (I'm from Europe) for about 1000 USD worth of currency, in my countrey there is no Euro yet. I got 21 months of warranty (the retailer gives 24 months for new cards), so I am "satisfied".

Joseph Lai says:

I'm using Radeon Sapphire RX 6650 XT Nitro+, 1080p gaming card, and very underrated GPU

Matej S says:

Can someone tell me can i put rx 7600 on my gigabyte b450 aorus elite v2 because motherboard support gen3 and card is gen 4 And if supports do i need to do something like update BIOS or just put it in

K Hill says:

I've really been eyeing that 7900 XT since they have started coming down below $800. The good thing about those is that they perform much better than the 6900 XT cards with much less power consumption and lesser power supply requirements. Plus their lower cost and much greater performance and future proof degree make them more enticing than the 6800 XT, even with the higher cost. In the long run they will be worth it.

Brad Haines says:

how long do you think itll be before 4k120fps is doable at 250w or less? cyberpunk is my benchmark since its the hardest to run game i have, and it puts the pain to my 3080 awful quick

Michael Roy Hulme says:

about amd RX

Michael Roy Hulme says:

what about budget rx amd

smileandlaughs says:

Please make one for used GPU? Preferably the 3070 and the 4070.

J0NTE says:

why not 6950xt

MAD-B✌👊 says:

The RTX 3060 12gb is probably the best bang for your buck at the moment, I wouldn't go AMD for a GPU for some reason, I just feel nVidia does it better, AMD is good for music production though, lol….

Curie says:

my upgrade cycle is 7years and the 6700xt for 1080p is literally the best deal i could get

dougalachi says:

I still can't grasp how a top end gpu from basically 3 years ago is still the middle/middle-high range recommended choice. I wanted that card at msrp three years ago. WHY DO I STILL WANT TO BUY IT FOR NEARLY ORIGINAL MSRP???!?!!!

SKOR - سكور says:

why did you test the amd cards with 10 gen intel while the rtx with 13 gen intel cpus

hotdog says:

if you have room for it. regular 6800 is a better buy then 5700xt if the difference in price is not too bad. where I live its the equivalent of 100-120dollars. which is well worth for a large cool 16gb card. 6950xt is also a lot better then 6800xt for basically the same cost these days

TheCervelo100 says:

thanks for great review
