I don't think anyone would be buying this to check battery voltage! If your "battery/charging-light" turns on, it's most likely your alternator. If the battery is dead, the scan-tool won't work! I just bought this on EBAY for about $15/free shipping! After watching the videos of the scanner, I think it's the best deal out there! PEACE!
